This is hard to comprehend " No MSU offensive player on the roster has started more than 17 career games. Only four have double-digit starts in maroon and white." So only 4 offensive players have started for a complete season and no one started for 2 seasons.

Sounds about right. Emerson and Cross started all last season and 3 games this year so far. Correct ? Forbes did not start the first couple last year. Marks wasn't a starter until middle of the season. Will wasn't a starter. I can't think of anyone that started in 2019 on this team. My bet is neither can you.

Part of me wonders how much of this is the new normal - very young players (that haven’t transferred out yet) complimented by older players that have transferred in. Going forward we have to expect to lose good players, every single offseason. So the notion that our roster simply needs to age is a bit naive. Granted, not having a true sophomore at qb would makeup for our youth. Maybe in a couple years.

I wouldn't see any reason we should expect to lose players every year. Unless we get a logjam at QB and somebody feels its best for them to move on. Or the occasional malcontent or underachiever that isn't getting playing time. I know its easy for players to leave but I doubt that will affect us as much as Bama or somewhere that signs a ton of 4 and 5 stars and then they don't get on the field. Ours are usually playing within a year

I know it defies most logic, but get ready. PT is great, but it’s either not enough for a lot of kids or else they don’t feel like they’re being utilized correctly. I’m not going to haphazardly toss out individual names, but if we’re all thinking “why is John Smith not getting more snaps?”, I guarantee they’re thinking it x100

Between some of the questionable depth chart decisions and weekly subtle jabs that Leach takes at his roster, I’m telling you now that we’ll have another 10-15 hit the portal this offseason. He just said something on the postgame Saturday like “maybe we need a few less guys sitting on the sideline”, and he made similar comments after the Tech game.
