He definitely got banged up, but if the guy we have now runs 11 times per game I'm not sure he's going to last either.

Don’t be naive. Caitlin Clark does represent what NIL is supposed to be, but she is a complete outlier when it comes to what is actually happening. She is generational in her impact on the sport she plays.
Anytime you run the ball an injury can occur.
But, I do think there is quite a bit of difference in the odds of it occurring with different runners.
Brad Banks was one smooth cat when it came to toting the rock. Rarely did a defender get a clean lick on him. He would dive down at the last second or make a slight move and avoid the big hits.
I want MG to run it if it’s there or if he can pick up a first down we need. It will add another element to the offense. Could help open up the passing game too.
I want him to try to be smart about it though. Don’t take unnecessary hits and try to avoid the big hits when possible. Instincts take over, so we’ll see if he has good instincts in that regard.
There was a play in the UCLA game last year that exemplified what you don’t want to do. Sullivan had scrambled over to the sideline and was hesitating to see if a TE would separate from a defender about 4-5 yards downfield.
He waited so long that another defender came a considerable distance across the field and absolutely lit him up. He got up slowly, hobbled across the field and was never the same for the rest of his time in that game. He was a yard away from just stepping out of bounds when this happened.
That’s what I don’t want to see from MG.

He doesn't need to kill it for us have a chance the clowns aren't some great team we just needed Mark to move the chains and score touchdowns when we get in the red zone other than field goals. He just can't have a bad game.
We beat the clowns last year with Sullivan at QB. I would also feel good about Saturday with him. I'm glad Mark isn't afraid to run the ball. I also felt MG started to improve after that first quarter garbage after watching again
