Front office is killing it. Right now we don’t know the rest of the trade. Looks like the Grizzlies will be trading Solomon Hill and Jae Crowder to OKC for the three team trade. Grizzlies are going to get James Johnson (ok piece) and Dion Weiters (yikes). They would both be around for next season as well. Grizzlies are looking at the lackluster free agency market this coming offseason and basically decided to punt on free agency.

also the Dillon Brooks deal is incredible.

I am happier about the Dillon Brooks contract than anything else that has happened. It is awesome what this front office has done since draft night

This Grizzlies front office is amazing. That's why I'm hoping there's a big draft pick coming back in this deal too. Otherwise we are taking on too much salary commitment for two garbage players.

On another note, I went to the grizzlies-mavs game in Dallas last night. The mavs crowd really showed respect to the grizzlies who are rapidly becoming the biggest story in the NBA.

Dillon quoted after the game about getting Justise Winslow.

“Now we have a player that we’re getting that actually wants to play with us and thinks we’re good.”

Yeah it’s the money for money trade. Had to take bad money to make it work. I do hope a draft pick is in this deal possibly from OKC since they have a ton of them.

They have me so fired up about the future of this team. What's crazy is the GM Klieman (VP) is only 30 years old. He seems to be two steps ahead of everyone else. I was a former season ticket older but I will be back next year.

I think you hit the nail on the head earlier when you mentioned that the Grizzlies front office wasn’t impressed with this year’s group of free agents. It’s honestly trash aside from just a couple players like AD that Memphis isn’t getting anyway, so they got some return on their expiring contracts rather than letting them walk after this season for nothing.

Plus, it appears that every contract they got back expires next year if they don’t pick up team options, so it still puts them in the driver’s seat for free agency next year. Yeah, I know... top FAs don’t come to Memphis... well, give this team another year to get better with Ja, JJJ, and the rest of this young core, and that attitude just might change

Phenomenal work by the Memphis front office, and the Dillon deal is a complete steal if he keeps this up
