So you're saying we don't need another Herro?Nah, Herro sealed that deal. Was probably going to Kansas all along..
So you're saying we don't need another Herro?
Isn't Kansas under FBI investigation? They may get even more attention from the FBI after the Billy Preston incident. No need for them to worry about the UNCAA. They are a neutered, useless, corrupt entity who people are laughing at right now.
Preston is a great kid , he speaks seven languages and should be able to play right away !! So say the rug doctor,. You know Self says that every year about at least one of his players it seems !!Isn't Kansas under FBI investigation? They may get even more attention from the FBI after the Billy Preston incident. No need for them to worry about the UNCAA. They are a neutered, useless, corrupt entity who people are laughing at right now.
That's funny. Their source is the kansas student newspaper. The basis is that the FBI has documents regarding the contract between kansas and adidas. Well, they have documents from every single adidas school.
247 said Grimes makes KU #1 in recruiting class so far. I hate Duke with a passion, but they have 3 top 5 players. KU's highest player is 11 and the other 3 are 17, 25 and 33. Those are Rivals rankings though. Still makes no sense.
Even worse. 247 has their players at 16, 24, 31, and 39. I'd take 1, 4 and 6 every day of the week. I guess it's a point system, but any way you slice it, Duke's class is WAY better.
I don’t think you used the word “best” enough...Our class next year:
Devon Dotson 5* - Self considers the best point guard in the class. Brings it every game.
Quentin Grimes 5* - Potentially the best guard in the class regardless of ranking.
Silvio De Sousa 5* - Was top 10. Spent the summer on his home country's national team and fell in the rankings. Dominated against team USA's bigs who are higher ranked. (Should be removed from this class though, as he'll suit up this season in December).
David McCormack 4* - Best pure center in the class of 2018.
Three transfers -
Dedric Lawson - will potentially be the best PF in basketball next year
KJ Lawson - Top 40 kid in his class will be a redshirt Jr.
Charlie Moore - Dropped 38 in a game at Cal. Better freshman year than what 5* Green projects to have.
And still in the running for one of Langford/Williamson.
If you look at from a pure ratings standpoint, I say Duke and then Kentucky should have the #1 and #2 rated class. But if you factor in the above, I think Kansas has the best class next year.
Transfers are never counted in recruiting class rankings. Why would they be?

KU will have a down year (for them, which means they still win the Big 12 easily, but probably fail to make a deep run in the tourney) next season.
Too many new faces. They likely lose their entire starting five. Graham and Myckhailiuk graduate. Azubuike, Newman, and Preston probably go pro (though Newman probably lands in the D-League).
Probably start:
G Moore
G Grimes
G Vick
F D.Lawson
F De Sousa
They will be a little deeper, but not near as experienced. Vick will likely be the only guy returning who will log major minutes for them this season.
Self will have his work cut out for him blending this team of transfers/freshmen together.
They might turn out to be really good, they have some talent. I just think they will struggle without the experience they are use to having.

Grimes is really good but the rest of that class is average to our standards. And trying to hype the Prison brothers up, I mean Lawson is funnyOur class next year:

Lawson's are not ever going to amount to their talent or they'd have never transferred they'd be in the NBA. I'll tell you a secret, the primary reason why Self took the Lawson's is 2019 and daddy Lawson's influence. James Wiseman #1 recruit Tennessee kid and friends, top 10 recruit DJ Jefferies is their cousin, top 15-20 player Chandler Lawson is their brother and by most considered the best of the brothers. Our class next year:

Do any Kentucky fans on this thread ever go to the Kansas boards? I can honestly say I only go there once a year or so in early March, after a Bucknell or Bradley or Northern Iowa or VCU or 10th ranked Stanford or Wichita State game for a brief chuckle -- maybe ten minutes. I don't think I've ever posted. This overpowering need for the validation of another fan base in order to feel somehow worthy is truly bizarre to me.Yeah. I went a little overboard.

Really like Kansas’s class thus far. Love both guards a lot.
Preston is a train wreck I mean car wreck waiting to happen. Same as Chris Walker begging for a U.K. Offer. At the time I was kinda mad Cal wouldn't extend the offer. Appears he knows more than I do about who he needs to recruit. Shocker there. For all the crap he takes about supposedly being crooked. He seems to be a whole lot cleaner than K,toupee, and ole shucks we didn't go to class for twenty years. Duke gets a pass on everything god forbid anyone question Sir chefsky. He has been Knighted. UNC I've got no words for that mess. At Kansas you have to be a felon or at least show potential. Rashad McCants basically said you can't spell flunk without Unc. In other news Georgia football team has been banned for five years for impersonating a #1 ranked team.
