Wanted to give a shout out to Gretnas jv team. After losing first three to big schools, two point loss to Jefferson Forest, one score to Magna Vista, and 25-0 to EC Glass which isn't that bad they haven't lost a game since. Closest game since they have played is 18-0 over Appomattox. All the rest have been by 30 or more with a win at Altavista last night 65-0. Got some real talent coming up. QB throws about as good as any varsity QB I've seen. They probably throw the ball 75% of their plays. Seen QB throw a 50 yard dart while on the run with just a flick of the wrist. Alot of people in Gretna betting they could beat our varsity.

Yes 4 will light you up. That QB looks almost six foot tall and is a 8th grader. Also have a lineman that's bigger than anyone on varsity line but is only 8th grader. If 8th graders could play varsity a couple of them kids would be starting on Friday nights.

Dan River put themselves in a hole against Gretna a week ago. We fumbled the opening kickoff back to Gretna and they scored immediately. I think we turned the ball over 3 times in the first half. We battled back some but give credit to Gretna. The QB has a great arm and #14 (Waller?) is hard to run down if he gets outside. Final was Gretna 34 Dan River 14.

Could have been worse score. Gretna drove to inside 15 up 34-7 in fourth and took starters out. The new QB fumbled the snap twice in a row and Dan River recovered and drove down field to get second td on second string. Also had a lot of dropped passes.
