Way to go out on a high note!!! To my good friend, Greg Lloyd, you sealed your legacy as one of the truly great coaches in NC with this State Championship win for the Chargers!!! Nobody is more deserving than you!!! Would also like to congratulate Coach Latham, Coach Jake Lloyd, Coach Brooks, Coach Brown, Coach Hamrick, and Coach Toms who all joined Coach Lloyd back at Crest High School, so glad you all made your return to Crest. Congrats to Coach Levine, also a long time coach to get his first State Championship in football. To all the returning coaches, Coach Porter, Ross, Nalley, Wacaster, Pettis, Young, and Watkins, yall did a great job. A team with a lot of "superstar talent" that got the job finished. With that talent comes a lot egos and challenges, and sometimes frustrating days of practice that fans don't truly see or understand. All that said, the coaches coached, the players played, and the fans showed up as always to support. Title number 7 for the Chargers!!!!!

Yes, whether it was mis-phrased or not, I don’t know, but that’s how I interpreted that also.

I believe he is open to that idea. If the right place that is fairly close comes open it wouldn’t shock me. I think he lives around 10 miles from SC line.

I know as a Starmount alum and fan, the Ram followers were thrilled to see Lloyd come to Yadkin County….and as sad to see him go after only coaching one season (23-24). But his success, care for young people, and his knowledge of football helped reinvigorate the Starmount program from its mediocrity back to being contenders again. He brought in energy and excitement that had been lacking there for several years. Thank you Coach Lloyd, and much regard forward!!

I believe Sos was at the EL game. Nick Eddins was at the title game. Mark Barnes was at EL game. I also heard Mike Stewart was at the title game. Also had a chance to see Roy Kirby at a game this year. Once a Charger, always a Charger.
