Greene Central vs WRH

Grit n Grind picked Green Central. I think they did because GC coach was in their show. According to them, GC mostly runs the but stats say they throw the ball almost half their plays. If WRH doesn’t have many penalties, WRH wins 42-21 in the dog pound
I don’t know anything about GC now. We use to be in the conference with them. I don’t remember them beating us but once and that was when our qb DJ sprained his ankle bad the day before the game. They had a good recruit I think that went to Navy. I think they will find winning in the dog pound a difficult task.
There is one guy who picks against us almost every week. Last year we beat Warren County 70 something to zero, and before the game he picked them.
You must of beat his favorite team too bad!
Most, if not all of the podcasts will favor or talk up their local teams or guests. They know the audience and know they will have to hear it when recognized covering a game or in the community.
My pick in this one is WRH by 16+. I never drank the Kool-Aid on GC all season. Lot of style but no substance.
What I saw from GC this year was some very good athletes but I wasn’t sold on the coaching.
He picked Washington county to beat Tarboro to last year.

Even though they lost, I'll still eat crow. I thought GC was gonna get manhandled.
Wallace plays to the level of their competition, and it almost cost them tonight.

I figured Wallace would win by 3 td’s being that it was at Legion Field. Good move by Coach Motsinger putting 15 in at qb late in the 4th to get that long pass. That kid was not 100% last night. Dog79 was talking to his parents before the game at hwy55. A couple of kids for GC got hurt last night for GC that I’m sure hurt their cause. #5 & #3 were good players. Greene Central had a chance they were never out of it. Shows what I know.
Pretty sure I saw you last night. I wasn’t going to walk around to the visitor side to try and say hi on the visitor side sideline. Crowd size was disappointing last night. If you’ve never been to a big game there it’s a different feel when both stands are full and no room to stand by the fence all the way around. Football fans can be a fickle bunch when the team is not winning all the games. I never could understand it. Either you love high school ball or you don’t. Our base fell off when we went down to 2A. Some took it as a slight. I discovered 2A ball was more competitive than 3A.
yeah people don’t show up for these kids if they don’t have a tradition of winning, I think that is what it boils down to. GC is electric place during baseball but never football, Kinston basketball is that feeling you are talking about but not in football. It is disappointing because it was such a great game.

dont agree with that last night they played a hungry team with heart everybody thought gc was trash they proved last night that they were game their passing game was good !! WRH came out flat slow start it happens in sports!! As the game progressed I think wrh had to figure out how to stop them guys n play their style of football wrh is not the blow u out team now, just face it this team isn't built that way!!

They played to the level of their competition! They've been doing it all season, just look how they played us last week.
WRH definitely have a tradition of winning lol. You have got to be new to the game. Kinston is a terrible place for any sport.....
Where did I say Wallace didn’t have a winning tradition? I was referring to Greene Central. I’m not from Kinston but you must be new to the game if you don’t know about Kinston basketball and playing in the zoo.
He was talking about Greene Central. And Kinston is definitely the standard for basketball in eastern NC, although Farmville Central is is trying to change that.
Ok u have your opinion on i have mine I've Stated that this team is nothing like the teams of old, new offense new defense its taken them it seems like a season to get it the many penalties we r getting is astounding but again I will say again Greene Central wasn't trash!! So all these crazy comments about WRH by 22 n a blowout then we can't look to that now this team isn't that!!!
Kinston has it problems but you can’t deny their past success. They put 7 in the NBA and countless others in college. Not too long ago they won 4 state titles in a row.
Even Coach Motsinger said after the game it was ugly. And it was. Maybe they had more focus on playing JK again I don’t know. Fact is the better play much better against JK. They looked slow off the line on offense. Took too much time for the play to develop. They need to fire off the line and the backs need to hit the hole much quicker. You have got to hustle on every play in this game.
Hey Otis now I agree with that I don't understand it really their are junior high teams heck even pop Warner that start slow college pros too but they seem to get it as the game goes on!! N I think wrh figured it out as the game went on making keys plays at the right time! Maybe u saw it Otis I didn't that they were playing down to their competition if they were then we shouldve. Been completing passes as well!
I don’t know about playing down but WRH clearly was not coming out and playing like they did earlier in the season when I saw them at Princeton. That game was over at the half.
And it's not like Kinston has always been terrible at football. They've had two teams go to State title games in 2011 and 2015. They've always been solid on the gridiron. But when it comes to the hardwood, them and Farmville Central are top dogs around here. Seeing a comment saying that Kinston is not good at any sport is not true at all.
