Man, that's an amazing 1, 2, and 3! Those 2 wings may be the most athletic wing tandem in America.

And that's just for starters. The options look great from there, too.

At the 3 or 4: Vanderbilt, Washington, Gabriel, Wynyard

At the 5: Richards, SKJ, Wynyard

Subs at 1,2: Alexander, Baker

We are 2 deep at every position.

Yup ole SKJ will have to step up and bring it this season.
It wouldn't surprise me if the day one starter is either SKJ or Wynyard. But I think it will be Richards by midseason. He was measured at 6-11 3/4" with a 7-3 3/4" wingspan and has been coming on in recent months. Unless SKJ has been hiding something, it's gonna be tough to keep that job.

Yea, 2+ deep at every position but some here swear We will only have a 7 man rotation... The Platoon is back.

If Cal plays ten, he won't platoon like 2015. He may play 10, but you won't see even minutes. Diallo and Knox are going to get the lion's share of the minutes at the 2 and 3 spots no matter who else is on the team.

The safe prediction is a 8-9 man rotation.

I am saying 8, because we have eight 5-star guys. They will all play. The three 4-star guys may not play as much. Cal likes his talent and plays his most talented guys the most minutes.

If Ayton gets eligible I'll be salty we didn't recruit him

Salty you maybe, but our roster is great

Are you kidding Runt?

Did you see how our fans villified HD?

And you want Cal to recruit a kid with very questionable issues?

"It was obvious there were concerns from many colleges about whether Ayton would qualify academically, largely because the school he attended for much of last season was not accredited by the NCAA. He competes at the high school level for a team called Hillcrest Prep in the Phoenix area, but Hillcrest is not a school; its players attend an affiliated school. For part of last year, that school was StarShine Academy in Phoenix, which the NCAA had not certified. Last winter, the Hillcrest players were switched to Arizona Connections, an online academy which has been certified by the NCAA."

Yeah I liked what I've seen from Richards and once KP gets his hands on him he should surprise a lot of folks and SKJ should have some drive in him after last season. Can't wait for the season to get here!!

I don't care how he repackages or brands it but mass subs will happen.

Lacking true depth at the 5. Hopefully he's as good as advertised but 2 quick fouls and it's like bam this year.

No I don't think so, we have more real talent on the bench then we did last year so while we might not have another top 7 ft player coming off the bench, the guy coming in will be very talented.

No faith in SKJ?
Faith sure, he could be a great player. Idt he's a true 5 spot though more of a 4. And I said if he gets eligible I'll be salty, he's the best big in the nation. If he didn't have those issues he might've been a cat. just wishful thinking. UK will be very good next year though

Defense will be our bread and butter. It's why the Bamba decision doesn't bother me. He didn't want to be part of a championship team. He wanted to be a centerpiece. Wins didn't matter. I don't like that type of player. It's not what Cal's teams have been about. Sure would have been a great embarrassment of riches to have though.

How can you look at that roster and not get excited about the possibilities. Yes, I know we're still lacking experience and that is a bit of a concern and the 5 does have a little question mark around it but, damn, that's some very exciting talent on that roster list and should be a nightmare for other teams and coaches to plan for once we get into the season and have some time playing together as a team. And, it's only May!!!!!!

I think skj will be a pleasant surprise next year.

I always suspected that he sat the bench not because he wasn't good enough in practice, but because of some other issue, kept secret in house. jmdao
