There aren’t any elite guards out there, unless someone reclassifies. Unless Knox comes back, our best lineup will be Johnson with two other guards with Vanderbilt and Washington being your nominal bigs. That is of course if a big impact center doesn’t reclassify. Our best lineup when everyone was healthy included Green, Washington, and Vanderbilt. I would assume that’s the case next year unless something unexpected happens.

I'm pretty sure I stated Quade green is not a great shooter ,as a matter of fact I went back and looked and yes its exactly what I typed. ....he's not a great shooter ,not a great passer, not a great defender actually poor defender ....I'm not a big Quade fan and he also hits a shot and then he kills our team period thinking he should have the right to come down without a pass and just fire it from 30 feet cause he hit the previous 3pt shot! Also just because he was the best shooter on our team which I don't believe he is (Knox ) is,that doesn't make him a knockdown shooter in my opinion we didn't have a knockdown shooter one....when you say knockdown shooter I'm thinking Lamb, booker ,knight and Murray . ....Quade can't shoot with none of those guys he's a average shooter at best!
Knox is no better than an average at best shooter. The eye test and the numbers support that.

Hagans to UK in 18 class. Mark it down

Don't rule out Knox returning. Remember when this board said he was a lock for Duke. Also, Wiseman was supposedly reclassifying for 2018-19 and a strong UK lean. If we get KK back and land Wiseman, Try this:

PG - Quickley
2G - K Johnson
C - Wiseman
SF - Knox
PF - Washington

Green, Herro, Gabriel and maybe Richards /Jones coming off the bench as back ups.

Guys yall need to read what I said if u wanna correct me ,I said green is not a knockdown shooter I simply said Knox is our best shooter the reason our coaches run him baseline shooting 15ft jumpers we ran our offense thru Knox ,so I believe he's our best shooter that we have ,by all means we don' have a knockdown shooter!

If we could get Knox back our team would be Frickin sick with hopefully Hagan ,quickley,Johnson, Knox and PJ that would be a athletic good shooting team ....with maybe baker ,herro,or quickley starting at the 2guard

Quade has a nice stroke he will hit shots next year. I don’t know how anyone can be down on him. He’s not ulis but he can become a helluva college player

- Thought Green improved a lot as a defender as the season progressed.

- Regarding his shot- you don’t expect a kid to improve? I thought it was a solid freshman campaign from a Top 30-type kid.

This. His defense did improve as the season progressed. Once he adapted to the college level and speed, I thought he was fine. If he puts in the work during the offseason, he will be a key contributor next year as well.

Everybody wants a veteran Kansas type guard- well we have one. Let him develop.

This, also, PJ averaged .8 blocks per game last year. Richards averaged .9, so, if Richards can play the 5 for Cal, PJ can play the 5 for Cal, IF rim protecting is the catalyst.

PJ averaged 0.8 blocks while playing 27 MPG, Richards averaged 0.9 while playing 14 MPG or about half the time PJ did. PJ is NOT a rim protector.

PJ played a lot more minutes per game than did Richards, could be the reason why he was close in blocks. We have no idea who is leaving and who is coming back, hard to figure who starts.

Baker and Hero are the two I am most interested in seeing play. I think they could be the answer to stopping the long scoring droughts! They don’t have to start but when players need a rest it would be nice to have a few more scoring options on the floor !

Quickley is probably more like Brandon Knight...

Similar size, good quickness and athleticism, but not elite.

Plays under control and is a good shooter.

This is a pretty good comparision.

I remember Knight shooting the ball way better off the dribble than what I see with IQ.

He's just going to be a guy that you HAVE to have out there.

Hey coach I think when Quickly signed he was ranked around 8 in the country, what has been the reason for his drop?

Most will roll their eyes, but if UK returns a good amount of the players we expect, for UK to be then as good as we hope, Richards has to step up and I expect him to start. If he cannot develop in the summer, Fall practice and pre season, then he is never going to be the player we want. So everyone should hope that he is starting at the 5. You don't start a true 6'11" athletic player with a super long wing span unless he is a complete dud (as a sophomore)

I agree.

IMHO, Richards' improvement as a defender, rim protector and ability to pos up and score will be the key to our team being great or just good.

No idea, I just know he's an elite guy. Does everything well, and not overly flashy.

Rankings are stupid anyways. I like the tier system better and he's tier 1 elite.

I think we get Hagan's this year and he starts with Quickly. I could be wrong but I doubt it. Got my info from a source I cannot name. I be dead and will not get to see them play if I name my source. If you believe in the truth then tell the truth. If you don't then don't. Feelings nothing more than feelings.....Rock in role forever Kuke never.
