I would agree with the criticism of last years Indiana team at 10 . That’s absolutely ridiculous.

As long as they get #1 right, I will continue reading - and they did :)

It's a good list. Hurts to see '71 drop but I get it I suppose. My only two minor suggestions: Indiana is not a top 10 team all-time, no way.

And '01 Miami is great but slightly overrated. Lots of big names and whipped us in the Bowl - that's why they are so high. But they were an inch from losing to Va Tech and close with Boston College as well. I think LSU '19 would've beat them, and '71 NU for sure. I put '01 Miam in the #4-7 range. But I give props for the respect they give to the somewhat older teams on this list.

Anything pre 90s is just goofy.

An argument could easily be made that anything 90s is getting goofy too.

Not a single team on that list would shut down 2019 LSU.

Ya the dude that said ‘01 Miami would have beat ‘95 Huskers by 3 scores is a moron . I agree with on the Indiana comment.

That’s not the poll . Nobody is saying they would shut them down . It’s a poll on what team is the best . Paul Finebaum is the biggest SEC homer of all time. He is on record as saying the 95 Huskers are the best team ever.

If I remember correctly Florida was supposed to handle the '95 Huskers. How did that turnout?

That team was without a doubt the best of all time. Florida was great that year, but the Huskers were on another level

1995 Nebraska is head and shoulders the best, Average win margin of 37 points. Beat #2 62-24. 2019 LSU was a great passing team but their defense would have never stopped NU in the run game. NU had elite speed on defense, several of the starters ran track for NU. And the pass rush was brutal. The Alabama team from 2009 would have given NU more trouble than 2019 LSU.

True they were damn good on offense.

95 and 71 Nebraska were dominant in both sides of the ball.

You anti-AI guys need to zip it for at least this discussion. AI is our friend :)

AI likes 'em some BIG RED. NU has 2 of the top 3 all-time. Iowa must be #5-10 on the list. Not sure, AI didn't go beyond the top 4.

  • 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers: Frequently ranked No. 1, averaging 52.4 points per game and winning every game by at least 14 points.
  • 2001 Miami Hurricanes: Boasted an absurd number of future NFL stars and completely dismantled opponents en route to a national title.
  • 1971 Nebraska Cornhuskers: Dominated a historically tough schedule, culminating in a 38-6 rout of No. 2 Alabama in the Orange Bowl.
  • 2019 LSU Tigers: Featured one of the most prolific modern offenses in college football history at 15-0

p.s. ESPN has an all-time ranking with our '71 team at #1 and '95 at #3.
