I'm sure he has a lot of potential for the future. It seems to me that he regressed as the season went on though. That's a little concerning. He was at his best early in the season. I believe he had one game (can't remember against who, but not an SEC team), where he pitched 7 innings of no hit baseball.

Fristoe will be a weekend starter for us next year and basically give us what Bednar is giving us. We need Cade Smith, Tepper, and Carmouche to take steps too. Brandon Smith can absolutely start on weekends too.

I could see Sims moving to Friday nights next season, while I don’t expect him back, I don’t think it’s a forgone conclusion that Macleod goes pro. Could be wrong about that though.

Sims had a lousy outing today. He let runners go on base. One walk and one hit. He has definitely regressed. Time to bench him. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

They may be terrible but a SEC sweep on the road is not easy to do, no matter how bad the home team is and how good the road team is.

Before the game Saturday Bama was projected as the first team out of the field of 64. A couple wins in Hoover could get them in. So they aren't in the upper echelon of the conference like we are but they are a solid club that started conference play @Arkansas, Ole Miss, then Tennessee. Then they finished their season @Vandy and us.

They've made some improvements and are definitely not a pushover.

Alabama may be improved, but they are no Missouri Tiger squad*
