BLUEFIELD — A California-based information technology company is locating a “prosperity hub” in downtown Bluefield, bringing 200 to 500 jobs. Intuit Inc., makers of TurboTax and QuickBooks, made the announcement Friday morning at the Clover Club on Commerce Street.

Jefferson and Berkley Counties have a lot to offer companies. Easy access to EW and NS Interstates,close proximity to airports like Dulles and the Martinsburg Air Guard facility that can handle any size aircraft and is a plum that is ready to be picked,close to DC and. We also could drew a well educated workforce from close by MD,PA and VA.

The First National Bank of bluefield, I think. Buzzy Wilkenson was the chairman of the bank. he was the all time leading scorer in ACC history at one point. he was from Pineville.
