Stremlow was the key to this huge win, but McCabe may have made the play of the night with that late steal of the inbounds pass and the easy bucket. That was brilliant.
The Hawkeyes did what they had to do against a Top Ten team, and they did it without Chit-Chat running things for half the game. I haven't heard anything about Chit-Chat's condition, but I'm guessing a concussion. We all can hope she recovers quickly and will be back on the court soon.
What a great learning experience for Iowa while taking down a top team. The Hawkeyes should have gained a great deal of confidence, and the coaching staff has a ton of tape to use as a teaching tool. But the biggest question I have is this: Where was the pump fake? We didn't see it all night against a team that sells out to block shots. That's a real head scratcher for me.
Anyway, lots of areas to improve, which is a great thing to say after knocking off the #7 team in the country.
