We made both of Duke's "studs" (Allen and Ingram) look completely incompetent. However, they aren't as bad as we made them look. We had a good game plan for them, and it got in their heads and completely threw them off. They'll have many much better games this season.

MO question that he had an off night but that's possible for anyone. He looked to be trying to do too much instead of getting his team involved and going. Struggled tonight for sure but the kid can play. It would be foolish to just dismiss him as a has been over just 1 game. We looked good tonight but I still have respect for Duke and if we play them again, you better believe that they will be much improved and nowhere near the same team. It's naive to just dismiss Grayson and Duke over this 1 game so early in the year.
You're probably right. It's gratifying, though to chuckle after the ridiculous hype and ESPN repeatedly showing us his super athletic/look at me I jumped so high I fell down! dunks vs Kennesaw State or whoever that was. He reminds me of the coaches kid who wore knee pads in grade school.

Wow, a post from you that isn't attacking Cal??? I thought that was impossible.

LMAO!!! I was thinking the exact same thing. I about gave him a like for it simply based on the fact that it wasn't a negative attacking post.

Then I was like......naa.

He looked like a scrub out there. Kind of looked like a guy that averages 4.4 points per game, which is what he did last year.

Didn't seem to just be an "off" game. He looked like he didn't belong and got punked multiple times by our 17 year old, inexperienced Australian big man.

I think the worrisome thing for Dukies should be that it appears he is able to do this a lot which could mean in practice he is taking his teammates to the tin like that.....

does not bode well for long term success against elite athletes...
