Yeah, there was a couple Duke fans over here talking about how great Graydon is, I didn't see it. He really isn't that good when he's the head of the snake. He's a nice complimentary player.

Kid drives to his right every time. Its amazing how predictable it is. Push him left every time he gets the ball and watch him struggle. He also likes to use that off arm to heisman his defender off of him similar to Seth Curry. His head snap is annoying but will more than likely get him calls in the tournament.

Wow, a post from you that isn't attacking Cal??? I thought that was impossible.

Allen is going to be really good. Make no mistake he ran into a buzz saw tonight as I said in another thread. Duke has no identity. They've got some huge issues as a team and tonight against tougher competition it knocked'em out. Kinnard isn't hitting right now but the stroke is there. When he catches fire he's gonna be a pure shooter.

Really glad to have this, and we look way better. Ulis/brisco/Murray is the best guard combo we've had since Cals first year. Their ability to finish at this time is staggering. I know cal is extremely pleased.

No post presence in the half court. Guards are gonna be jumper oriented. They'll find the sledding a lot tougher this year than last because nobody requires a double team in the post.

I bet you were hoping to say "Cal got out coached."

I hadn't watched him play until tonight. I know he went off against Wisc last year, but I didn't watch it. It was funny at halftime when they said he was taking the same shots he was making, the first two games, but our D was too much for him.

He did flop around like a fish out of water anytime contact came to him. I remember one replay showed him driving on Ulis, and he kept flinging his head and body back like he was getting hit. All while Ulis was just manning him up.

Dude's got a national title he earned by putting a team on his back and beating Wisconsin. He's good.

But yeah he sucked tonight. :)
He wasn't the focal point of the scouting report. Big difference.

Allen went down the middle like he was Jordan or something and got his crap slapped out all night, the red nosed sophomore has never impressed me outside of hustling, just like coach krybaby crying all the time.

Agreed. Plus, Allen got absolutely dominated by players who were more athletic. Allen had a good matchup against Wisconsin last year but a horrible matchup against us.

BTW, K didn't adjust early on. GA kept driving and getting stuffed. It wasn't working and never did.

Grayson Allen benefited from being a complimentary role player and relatively unknown last year. When good teams game plan for him, well, this is what happens. As a guy who can spot up or kind of remain under the radar, he's pretty good. But if Grayson Allen is your primary ball handler and your primary scorer, you're in trouble.

Should piss UK fans off even more that we choked against Wisky bc Duke was in trouble and Allen scored about 9 or ten straight points and turned the game around and tonight he was hot garbage.

But, he has a ring!

I think some have compared him to Redick, and I hope they are right because Redick didn't win a title in his 4 yrs.

4 TO, 4 PF, 6 points. He's a real threat for sure.

MO question that he had an off night but that's possible for anyone. He looked to be trying to do too much instead of getting his team involved and going. Struggled tonight for sure but the kid can play. It would be foolish to just dismiss him as a has been over just 1 game. We looked good tonight but I still have respect for Duke and if we play them again, you better believe that they will be much improved and nowhere near the same team. It's naive to just dismiss Grayson and Duke over this 1 game so early in the year.
