Those of you around the board for a while know this is something we've done in the past. In fact, it goes all the way back to J.J. and Shelden's historic senior season(s).

I thought we better start one for Grayson as he climbs Duke's all-time scoring list. Currently he sits at 1,109 career points, good for 54th. In our next game he should pass current assistant coach Nate James, who scored 1,116 career points at Duke. If, if, if....Grayson can get to 1,506 he'd be one of the top 30 scorers in program history. It's always fun to see some of the names on this list whenever we do these trackers....brings back some memories.

42. Jack Marin - 1,275
43. Chris Duhon - 1,268
44. Gerald Henderson - 1,262
45. Bernie Janicki - 1,247
46. Greg Paulus - 1,193
47. Tommy Amaker - 1,168
48. Carroll Youngkin - 1,154
49. Chris Redding - 1,141
50. Bob Fleischer - 1,139
51. Alaa Abdelnaby - 1,137
52. Willie Hodge - 1,117
53. Nate James - 1,116
54. Grayson Allen - 1,109
T55. Howard Hurt - 1,095
T55. Kevin Strickland - 1095
57. Chris Collins - 1,091

I'll do my best to add to this list after each game this season.

I think the chances of it happening are slim to not so much, but Grayson could end up pretty squarely over 2100 if he stayed 4 years. That's jersey hanging material if he plays US ball (select team, etc.).

Thanks for starting this one @dukiejay. Love the stat tracker. We can pin it later.

I'm going to start a 1,000 point 'watch list' thread for both Luke and Amile, as well. Just going to make it one thread as we probably don't need two.

I'm new to the board and I really love the passion and knowledge of most everyone, but what's the deal with the different titles under each name?

Yes, under some it says hall of famer, some recruits...

Mac9,that's your level of Duke investment.:) Obviously a 'recruit' is a newcomer, (or rookie), and a Hall of Famer has been around awhile...and with different levels in between. I can't remember if you 'level up' (sorta like a video game) with the amount of time you've been a member of Devils Illustrated, or if it is the amount of posts (which still is a good barometer of how long you've been around here). But come to think of it, I believe it's the amount of posts that determines your rank. So, post away, and you'll be moving on up in no time!

With eight points tonight, Grayson will become one of the top 40 scorers in Duke history. At his current pace, and figuring in 10 remaining games as a conservative guesstimate, Grayson would land himself at #30 on the all-time list.

If, and I mean a big if, he were to return in 2017-18 (which I feel is doubtful), he would have the opportunity of becoming just the 12th player in school history to score 2,000+ points in a career, and the first since Jon Scheyer did it during the 2009-10 season.

Oh how I wish he would return! That would piss ESPN and UNx fans off so bad.

Grayson scored 20 points against Troy and 21 in the loss to the South Carolina (passing both Seth Curry and Mason Plumlee in the process). He ends his junior year, and perhaps his career, at 33rd on the all-time scoring list at Duke. Were he to return for a senior season, he'd have a great shot to score 2,000 career points, barring injury.

Dumb question but if he returns and scores 2K with his resume already would he have his jersey hung in CIS?
