I've actually been wondering if it might've been his older brother that I saw play basketball. Now I'm not sure but I'm leaning that direction.

Must have been an older brother. BRLD split after the 2021-22 season. So Grant Seagren as a redshirt freshman (huskers.com website) would have played 2 years at UNL - the same number of years after the BRLD split.

I think you're right.

Grant has 2 older brothers the oldest Garrett is the one that originally played at Chaminade ended up at Concordia. he was a guard only6-2 .Wyatt is the one that played against BRLD that OP is thinking he was 6’7”” He went to SDSU for football had concussion issues switched to Track and threw the Discus for SDSU.

Seagren has an 84 inch wingspan. That number would've placed him 2nd at the 2024 NFL combine among all offensive linemen in attendance.

That's always a plus for OL. Speaking of which from the moment I saw Benhardt's arms I always thought they were unusually short for someone 6'8 or 6'9. At least from my naked eyes. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me and not a thing at all. I'm curious...

Know Grant fairly well. Hard to believe he is so close to playing minutes. From small town you think not possible but will give some small town hope if he plays and holds his own. Athletic family and wouldn’t say he had a stellar career in sports in high school but his body size tremendous. Also smart kid. Hope he does well and rooting for him. Rhule has mentioned his name multiple times over last 2 seasons. Which is impressive for a walk on and coming from a small town.

His earlier problems were more related to his feet and brain though.
