I know it isn't over yet. Not even sure exactly who is left out there that hasn't signed yet. As it sits now. What grade do you give the day and Staff. I know Neb as been burned on NSD in the past. So far besides Javontae, everything went pretty well as could be expected.
Plus all things considered to get a top 20 class in such a short time frame is pretty impressive.
I am giving it a A-

Hmm...I dunno how to rate it. Did we do better than expected? Did they fill the positions they felt they needed to fill? How did we do in the midst of a coaching change coming off 2 out of 3 losing seasons and a 3 year coach? Do I feel good about it?

I give him an A because they ended up better than I expected, he got a lot of walkons that I didn't expect and a lot of what look like really good players. I am no expert though and don't follow recruiting, so I don't know how the experts will rate it. Looks like a top 25 class and I hope that translates to a top 25 ranking in the polls and on the field sooner rather than later.

Solid A for the timeframe they had and preparing/coaching a major bowl game. Not sure I have ever been this excited as a Husker fan - and that includes the 90’s.

I think considering that our staff only had 2 months to recruit and we didn't have any last minute de-commitments, I'd give it an A! We were able to get a lot of speed and a top notch QB. As far as lineman, I expect next years class to be filled with the big ugly's. I also like how Frost has also brought on 20+ walk ons. With the right development, don't be surprised to see a couple of them in our rotation in the next few years.

Very strong start by the staff but today was a bit of a let down. Needed OT and DL and came up short there. Losing SPP late to OSU was another letdown . All in all I give it a solid B+.

With the coaching changes and coaching 2 teams they were going to come up short on some positions.
Sure they will correct this and make it a priority in going after OT and DL in the 2019 class.

Grade: A. After watching Frost again during his signing day presser, I think the guy could sell the Hep B vaccine to hookers. He and his staff did a helluva job in 2 short months.

Solid A. Only a DT away from an A+

Amazed by the defensive talent they were able to bring in when it was the UCF offense that received all the hype.

What they did as far as the WR roster is unbelievable. Went from empty to full and evened out the classes.

A bit of a letdown? Have we ever had this many players pick us on signing day? So unless we get everybody we want it's a bit of a letdown? That's ridiculous.

Weird feeling because it does not feel like an A. There is no question but that it feels like it should not be an A in the grand scheme of things. I do not want to think that 25th ranked should be A-level work.

And yet this staff really pulled it together between the mess that they were left from the previous staff's recruiting class, the dismal record and toxicity which was swirling, the necessity to dedicate time to coach the Peach Bowl and the complete change in culture for the existing team which had to be instilled while also focused on recruiting. I used to be one of those students who closed the semester strong so that you could lobby the professor that clearly you deserved the benefit of the doubt and the grade should be rounded up based upon how you closed. I compare last year and this year. Last year felt like there were far more home runs on the board but that we landed a lower percentage. This year feels like a TO Class, yeoman like and yet kids that want to get to work.

Grade: A.

Outside of 1 or 2 more big boys in the line (and we missed on a few kids late) - GREAT job by Frost & Co.

Well, he had two months....and there was an early signing day...so he was really up against it. He did everything perfect in my book, went after decent talent and highly rated kids with fewer offers, went hard at kids where NU would immediately become their best offer...if we want to win though he will need 5-10 players in each class that we out-recruited OSU, Michigan, Georgia, Clemson, OU....we are still beating out Vtech, Auburn, Tennessee, Lousiville for players...so the expectation is this group will lead us to 9-10 wins.

So, if it wasn't SF, would you give it an A? I rated more on the entire transition, not just signing day. I include his work with jucos and walk-ons. It certainly wasn't the disaster that some thought it would be when we fired SE and MR. Also, most of the signings are from the south or CA, something a lot of people said couldn't be done.

I’d give the class a solid B. IMHO A lot of you are grading to expectation vs actual results. It’s a top 25 class for sure so that puts in the top 20% of all FBS schools. When you consider the situation as a whole it is clearly better than it could have been and better than most expected. But that alone doesn’t elevate the actual grade of the class to an A level.

I dunno if you can accurately grade it because of the whole 2 month thing.

But there's a few things that stand out...
Nebraska was 4-8 last year
We needed a QB to fit the new system and got one, and not just any one, but a highly ranked one
We got JUCOs at areas of need including some that will contribute right away.
We got some very highly ranked players that we weren't even in on until the past few months
We got the under armour all american game MVP and identified him before the game
We also signed one of the most impressive walk-on classes we've ever had. Quantity and quality.
We kept Stan Morgan.

The only negative is we didn't get a DT, and didn't get more than one OL (although I do wonder how many OL this staff really wanted this year?? It's our deepest position

I don't know what the ranking is, but all things considered, I'm as pleased as I could possibly be under these circumstances. I don't know how many coaches could have pulled this off, all things considered.

94th when he took over and now look where Nebraska is at. I am stoked by this class. Got guys who fit their style of offense and defense and didn't take guys just to take them. AllN.

I don't see anything wrong with grading this class higher based on the situation. Next year or especially in a couple of years, this class would be B work. But considering the short time they had to work with and the small class they had to start with, I think an A is appropriate. It's hard to see how they could have done any better.

All things considered it is for sure in the A realm. Now if this was year 2 or 3 recruiting I would say probably Bs

Frost specifically said they took the best guys they could get...
