KU has been finding these gems lately, just like with Christian Braun. That kid wasn't even in the top 100 but became a really good college player his sophomore and especially his Junior year.

A "twink" named Gradey Dick at Kentucky.

Yeah, that'd go over fantastically with our fanbase....
His last name is kinda funny …to those with a childish sense of humor. But I have no idea why he’s being called a “twink” on this thread. I’ve seen nothing from him to support that label..

I just know he’s really good. Exceptionally skilled, good size, outstanding instincts for the game. Probably the best freshman in the country this year.

Because we are no longer able to sit back and be proud and confident about our program. So the best that some can do is point out when another team loses or try to put a rival down with silly comments.

OP used the term, so I just played it into my joke. Honestly I have no idea what the kid looks like.

Totally agree on that and I’ll do it again too

No Brauns for Cal, I'm afraid. It's either Green Room or bust/transfer after year 1 over here.

Well, fwiw, this is what he looks like. And if this is how twinks play, then I’ll take a team full of em any day.

Looks like Chris Kattan from the old SNL days!

I wouldn't care what he looks like or his name if he plays like he supposedly does for KU. Just playing a joke knowing there are people on here that would get a chuckle out of it. Sorry if I offended someone (Americans really need to grow some skin....).

because self & staff understand talent regardless of ranking
ccc only looks at rankings

Reed Sheppard? Will he be lost in Cal's system.
he won't be lost in the system, because there is no system
he will get lost because the fans will want him to play and ccc will fight that
he will be lost on the end of the bench until ccc is GONE

Yeah I watched their game and was like this dude was a five star? Yep he was lol. Cal needs to recruit guys like him who actually can play, I’m sure being coached in an optimal manner helps too.
That’s the rub. No way in hell we get the same production out of him. For those that say no way to know that see CJ Frederick!!!

Cal would play him behind Toppin. Kid is best Frosh in country
Cal cannot get it in his head the importance of shooting - ball handling and passing - footwork
Recruit skill
that thread is right on the money his teams have forgotten passing, dribbling and shooting in an organized fashion. Uk's offense is 3 guys stand around and miss 3's in big games andd Oscar is surrounded by 3 guys at a time. Wheeler either drives and makes a few layups or is given so many wide open shots he makes a few. I can't stand him as a point guard and all his out of control up in the air passes. I would kill for some of our great point guards of the past. It all starts with the point.

Jayhawks fan—we have gotten incredibly lucky with Kansas grown talent with Agbaji, Braun, and Gradey. Even Dajuan Harris who has been a really solid PG the last few years. Harris and Braun played on the same AAU team and actually neither started. Gradey was a secondary/tertiary option at Sunrise Christian until his senior year

Quite frankly fans were upset that our recruiting dipped and attributed it to the NCAA cloud over our heads (that as a reasonable fan I won’t try to defend). But it is relatively ironic that 2020, 2022 and this year feel like 3 of our best teams in recent memory and it’s all during the “can’t recruit top talent because we are in trouble” years.

Self, like a lot of high end coaches, probably has some skeletons in his closet from a rules perspective… but the man can coach X’s and O’s.

Really thought this thread would be about some strange new STD.
You unzip your pants and this pops out.

If Gradey sticks around, he could develop into a Larry Bird clone. All he lacks is passing and strength. CCC needs to look up the word 'develop'.
