Great on him for taking a stand and I hope others speaks up as well.

Unfortunately he doesn’t have much of a voice in the matter. I would be much more optimistic if the ACC and SEC presidents/commissioners would come out and say they will play regardless of what other leagues do.
you don’t think the governor of a state with about 6 teams with real skin in the game doesn’t have a voice your crazy....
This, and the governors of SC, GA, AL, etc. need to speak up and say the same things. They would carry a lot of weight over these college presidents voting on these matters.
And several are state universities

He has too much of a reputation of being a Trump *** Kisser and a pecker head dumbass , reopen at all costs talking head, when it comes to pandemic control. He will only hurt the movement because of his lack of credibility . He just needs to keep quiet , other than to say that the state of Florida will do all it can within reason to work with its universities to protect the players well beings. Unfortunately, i dont think the guys has a diplomatic bone in his body.
He will step in towards the end, and say something to the effect that he knew all along how it was going to end up, and that it is a good day in SC

No I don’t. The college presidents will cave to what other conferences do and not care what Governor’s say. Especially a one that has been as controversial as DeSantis. Not saying I agree with it, just saying what I think will happen.
No conference wants to be a pioneer with this thing. If the B1G folds like expected, I guarantee the SEC and ACC fall in line soon after.
The B1G has already tried to fold, and the SEC/ACC is calling it’s bluff... revealing the lack of leadership in the B1G.

Kemp will be a name in national politics down the road. I know my approval of him as significantly increased due to how he’s handled the Covid situation.
He’s done a fantastic job, in the face of harsh liberal criticism.

Ga is no longer mentioned because the reopening is going so well. Fla, Texas, Arizona are following the same path. Silence from the MSM.
I have heard that literally hundreds of fry cooks and assistant managers at BK and McD's have said the same thing- All are equally (ir)relevant.
The only opinions that really count will be the majority of University presidents- and sadly it isn't looking good.
Under Santis' leadership, Florida is a leader in lowest death rates per capita among larger states. I like what he has done. Unlike NY, NJ, and Mass., FL protected nursing homes and vulnerable in the early going with much better outcomes. All while protecting the economy, a crucial element to maintain health and life at large, as best possible.
