Unfortunately he doesn’t have much of a voice in the matter. I would be much more optimistic if the ACC and SEC presidents/commissioners would come out and say they will play regardless of what other leagues do.

He has too much of a reputation of being a Trump *** Kisser and a pecker head dumbass , reopen at all costs talking head, when it comes to pandemic control. He will only hurt the movement because of his lack of credibility . He just needs to keep quiet , other than to say that the state of Florida will do all it can within reason to work with its universities to protect the players well beings. Unfortunately, i dont think the guys has a diplomatic bone in his body.

No I don’t. The college presidents will cave to what other conferences do and not care what Governor’s say. Especially a one that has been as controversial as DeSantis. Not saying I agree with it, just saying what I think will happen.

No conference wants to be a pioneer with this thing. If the B1G folds like expected, I guarantee the SEC and ACC fall in line soon after.

The B1G has already tried to fold, and the SEC/ACC is calling it’s bluff... revealing the lack of leadership in the B1G.

Except for Ohio St.

How many years are you going to wear a mask? I love all these Trump haters trying to prove their point.

21 million people in this state and he isn’t closing a damn thing! If you don’t like it, head west to Oregon or California. GTFO

Florida just hit it’s 15th consecutive day under 10k of daily cases.

Haven’t seen that shared anywhere. Yet three weeks ago it was on every headline we were breaking daily records.

Coincidence, I guess.

Rush touched on this last week.

Ga is no longer mentioned because the reopening is going so well. Fla, Texas, Arizona are following the same path. Silence from the MSM.

Florida’s @GovRonDeSantis says he believes “without question” ACC & SEC should play this fall & he is “100% in favor of playing.” Says if Big Ten schools want to cancel SEC & ACC schools should go after their best players and let them play in South.

— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) August 10, 2020

I have heard that literally hundreds of fry cooks and assistant managers at BK and McD's have said the same thing- All are equally (ir)relevant.

The only opinions that really count will be the majority of University presidents- and sadly it isn't looking good.

Under Santis' leadership, Florida is a leader in lowest death rates per capita among larger states. I like what he has done. Unlike NY, NJ, and Mass., FL protected nursing homes and vulnerable in the early going with much better outcomes. All while protecting the economy, a crucial element to maintain health and life at large, as best possible.

In All seriousness what are we waiting on?

Are we waiting on a cure? Zero cases? Are we waiting for this thing to go away completely? Are we just doing something to be doing it? I thought all we had to do was wear a mask?

I'm not sure why this question isn't being asked to every single person who is "important" in the decision making.
