We’re tied with TN and Arky after the loss today. Need Auburn to win today and TN to beat Arky in Knoxville so we can end up with the 2 seed in the SECT.
When we play like we are capable of playing, it doesn't matter who we play. I hope Cal nails down our starters and stick with them the rest of the way. If Wheeler or Washington goes down again, we should go with the starting lineup we used in the previous 2 games and rotate Washington and Wheeler off the bench. It is too disruptive bringing those guys back into the starting lineup without them having some warmup time which isn't available at this point in the season.

Why does this matter?

The more important thing is Auburn is a current 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. I'd rather them lose and try to jump them in that.

It's not likely, but I'm definitely going to root for senarios where that's more likely.

A 2 seed in the SEC tournament or a 3 seed........does it really matter

Yes. Three seed gets the late game. And then has to play less that 15 hours after. It sucks ***.

Who cares at this point. Let's get to the NCAA healthy and get TY Ty playing like he was a couple of weeks ago. SEC doesn't really mean anything at this point.

We can beat anyone in the SEC from any seed IMO.

On a neutral court, we are the best team in the SEC.
This ^ is true. 100%. We lost a tough game so the idiot posters posted like idiots do but we’re very good and we can still have a remarkable season.

No real difference between a 2 and 3 seed. We aren't going to lose again. As you said, Arkansas and Tennessee play each other, so one will take another loss. We'll be a 3 seed at worse, and like I said, no real difference between 2 and 3. In fact, as it stands now, 3 seed would likely play Miss. St. in first game; 2 seed would play winner of LSU/Florida. I'd rather be the 3 in that scenario.

I think we win against Ole Miss then lose at Florida next Saturday. We can very well end up the 4 seed.

That's just your emotion talking. Arkansas is WAY better than Florida. We just played them on their home court, with getting nothing from Grady, Mintz and Toppin, and with Wheeler and Washington clearly rusty when they first got on the floor. And we lost by 2. Anything can happen in college basketball, but there was nothing that happened today -- or really this entire season -- to think Florida will beat UK.

We’ve not looked good since the Kansas game. It’s not just emotion over today’s game.

If it is close down the stretch there is no way the Vawls will lose. Auburns guards will throw up some crazy ******** shots. That is their weakness. They have the most pro ready guy in college basketball but they are too selfish to give him the ball! LOL!

Exactly, we just beat Bama and LSU, two NCAAT teams without 2 of our 3 starting guards.
Those two teams have been terrible the past month. Neither have even played like a NIT team over that time.

Kansas is the last time we looked like a legit FF team.

I disagree. The SEC is the toughest league in my opinion. Alabama and LSU played well against UK. Uk just played better and played at home. If those two games were at their place I don't know if UK would've won those games without Ty Ty and Wheeler. Alabama and LSU would challenge Kansas for the Big 12 title. Big 12 is touted as one of the best but I am not so sure about that.

If Auburn didn’t have selfish guards it would be them at the top, then everyone else. Their still hard as hell to beat.

7 minute scoring drought for AU. Need them to win. Of course AU exists to screw us any way possible.

We finally have the best conference in basketball. That's all I care about. And while we're not #1 in that conference, we're pretty damned close and as someone else said, we'd beat every team in the SEC on a neutral court (assuming it wasn't neutral but in those teams' home states).

UT on a 17-2 run.

Purdue lost, if Auburn loses a 1 seed was there for the taking. Too bad Keion, Mintz and Grady blew it.

And we get the 3 seed in the SEC with that god awful late game. Bad day for us so far.

I won't root for Auburn I want to try to pass them for the 4th #1 seed. For that to have any chance they have to lose today as they still would need to lose probably 1 more before the SEC finals.

It might actually benefit us to be #4 seed in SEC tournament as the semi's would actually matter for a #1 seed and if Auburn played Kentucky in semis we would have a shot to pass them for the #1 seed.

Ironically being a #4 seed in the SEC tournament would give us a better shot to be #1 seed in the big dance since semis will matter but finals dont

And ironically enough that was the last time both Wheeler and Ty were even remotely healthy.
