Apparently, Stokes is upset that the usual bribes to him are being cut into by these bribes to the mayor. Alleged bribes that is.

I will say this about Kenneth Stokes. He knows how to put on a show for the camera and for his constituency. If you were to meet him in real life he speaks completely differently. He's not a dummy. Away from the cameras he has become one of the better councilmen on crime.

It's almost like how Haley's drawl used to kick up ten notches when he was speaking to a Mississippi audience vs. DC.

And if you are posting on this board he gives not one eff what you think of his latest interview. You are very likely not his intended audience.

Saying he's one of the better councilmen on crime is not saying a whole lot considering his ward was one of the 2 highest in homicides last year.

I don't think he's as dumb as he lets on but not sure what real positive change he's brought to the city since he's been in office. He will call you racist if you want to move the zoo and tell his constituents to throw bricks and bottles at law enforcement that is not JPD. Not sure I would consider him a light in the darkness.

Away from the camera or not, when Stokes is one of the "better" councilmen...

on anything at all, you know the outlook for Jackson for the foreseeable future is not good...
