Pre-season most of us were hoping to take one of the first three Big Ten games. We were thinking two of three would be a very good thing.

It could happen Friday night. I think there's a pretty good chance it will happen.

With the very high likelihood of dropping at least 1 of the final 6 this upcoming game will obviously determine our CFP chances.

And that was before we realized that Minnesota, Wisconsin and Northwestern are all well above average. Nebraska might be too but they need to play someone good. Very favorable schedule so far.

Preliminary scouting of UW , they have a 5-11 qb who was sacked 7 times by Minny and 6 times by USC. Their O line has been banged up all year. Their qb, Demond Williams has been their leading rusher all season, they don’t have much of a run game. JEDD Fisch throws it a bunch and his playcalling has their fans pretty upset.
They are pretty one dimensional and susceptible to pressure, Phil should have them bottled up. This game will probably be determined by our offense being able to put 20-24 points on the board.

The CFP remains at 12. With all the new starters I wasn't counting on that. Before November they won't be new starters. Nine wins, ten would be great.

good thoughts, I will also look it up but how is UW against the run game?
the hawks need a pretty good game running the ball to balance out this offense.

I looked at all the Wash. box scores so far this year and their run defense is holding all their opponents under 4 yards per carry averages. Minny got about 3.7 ypc and USC only 3.3 although USC is not a run first power team.

It would be great if Iowa could get 4 ypc and LJ PHillips looked healthy on his 12 yard run against OSU. So a good dose of Moulton and PHillips with a good passing day will help the offense. Wash. doesnt look to have the stats of a very good running team so hawks stonewall the run and get after their qb

UW rush defense is 37th, respectable but not Michigan or Ohio state. They did hold usc to 115 rushing yards, below their avg of 165. Their defense excels at havoc rate and creating turnovers. Watching the usc game their defense looked pretty good.

This team could lose to anyone. Lucky not to be 2-3 right now. Saturday was a pathetic effort. Did the D coaches even watch film or does it matter with that crappy secondary.
