Tested for the virus on Sunday and got my results today. Negative thankfully. I’m still fighting a rough bug of some sort- being immunocompromised at a time like this is terrifying.

Anyone else just real sick and has tested negative? I live on the coast and have been quarantined since March 16th.

Thanks, I don’t have any plans on leaving the house. Unlike all my buddies who are constantly on their boats with large groups of folks, getting drunk, acting like there’s nothing to worry about.

Happy for you. I imagine you feel like a hostage in a Die Hard movie.Warm weather headed your way and I hope it makes you feel better. Bruce Willis will make a grand entrance and save the day with some killer therapeutics or a wipe out vaccine at some point... Until then be smart and take care of yourself. We have your back.

I must say, I am shocked at how this pandemic is bringing folks together somewhat. I appreciate y’all.

This also gave me a much needed laugh.

I travelled to Orlando from 2/17 to 2/19. Got sick on 2/22, dry cough, pains, etc., but little fever. Tested negative for Flu or Pneumonia, but diagnosed with bad case of bronchitis. Down and out through 3/8. Returned to work 3/9, traveling to south Louisiana, primarily Baton Rouge. Started feeling bad again 3/13, went to doctor on 3/16 and he referred me for the test on 3/17. Was sick most of last week. Test was sent from Merit to Labcorp, but not Flowood Labcorp, Charlotte, NC Labcorp. Did not get my results back until today, 3/25. Test came back as non-infected. My Doctor translated that as negative.

Been feeling better, but extremely weak, can’t do much of anything physical. Breath shortness bending over or any exertion.

The question becomes was I positive on 2/22 through 3/8 and didn’t know it, and
tried to bounce back too soon on 3/9, and relapsed until the next weekend, then tested negative at the end of the cycle? No way to know now.

That’s rough, I’m glad you’re feeling better now though.

I’ve had, and still do, every symptom but a fever. I can’t sleep- normally I would’ve been asleep 3 hours ago and it’s becoming a nightly thing. My cough has gone from dry to productive like clockwork every day. Brown phlegm. Migraines. Fatigue but restless. Just horrible.

My thing is if someone like you or me has been tested once and resulted in a negative case, get better but end up relapsing back to the aches, pains, cough and shortness of breath- will we be able to test again? Because now my doctors are saying I have a real bad cold bug but I’ve never felt this bad for so long. Also tested negative for flu and strep.

I know they make a big deal out of fever being one of the symptoms, but I, like my mother, have never been 98.6. She died of colon cancer 24 years ago, but even with significant infections, her temp rarely topped 100. Usually, when checked during triage, my temp, even with infections, runs about 97 to 97.8. I had one short period where self checking, my temp hit 100.5 during this recent illness. By the time I got to the doctor, 2 hours later my temp was at 98.4. Again, negative on the regular flu, but diagnosed with bronchitis. Strange stuff.
