I'm not an ESPN Insider - wouldn't click on it anyway - but headline on ESPN NCAAM is all about hyping Lonzo Ball and UCLA... typical.

Those jowls must be able to accommodate a great number of nuts... Duke, UNC, UL now UCLA...

Flavor of the week - and after IU beat UNC - I'm sure his bipolar power rankings will not know what to do. He's a hard guy to take seriously and certainly a UK troll.

I want them to hype up UCLA. And then hype up again UNC. And then hype up UL. And then hype up KU.
It will make it all that more impressive when we lay the smackdown on each of them.

I don't get too upset by talking heads when they do stuff like that. Truth be told, Ball is one hell of a player and deserves the accolades. Hyping him up doesn't necessarily take away from any of our guys. But it could certainly provide them with a bit of added motivation, although I'd be surprised if any of them really pay attention to anything being said by the media.

That being said, wouldn't shock me one bit to see this UCLA team absolutely crap themselves when they walk into Rupp Arena on a Saturday in December. Surely wouldn't be the first team it's happened to.

It's okay for people to talk about players/teams other than UK, especially when it is deserved.

To be clear - I've acknowledged he is very good - I became aware of him late in his high school career and was very impressed. My point, if I missed, is that Goodman, in typical style, hypes our opponent, trolls UK, etc. I am fine not being over-hyped... but an article could easily be written about how good UK's guards are and the great challenge they pose UCLA etc., that they have impressed the NBA. Goodman stuck to his typical and consistent narrative is all.

LBall is very good - could be a great game. Point is about Goodman - not LBall.

Yeah, he's good,.very good. And it's not surprising Goodman chooses to hype him instead of any of Kentucky’s stars who will also be playing in this game. But it's fine with me. I hope all the experts pick UCLA and slam Kentucky for its weak schedule while ignoring the same for UCLA. I'm sure these UK players notice and it only serves as motivation. Goodman spends half his time trolling UK fans and the other half hyping anyone else he can find. The day he speaks well of UK in one of his articles might cause me to fall into shock and be unable to function for a while. But this? This is business as usual. Bring it! :smiley:

Same here, and it also lessens the impact in the event that we get an L.

the kid is good. If you want to only read pro UK stuff, go to KSR. ESPN can write about other players from other teams. It doesn't mean that they are pro or against UK. It does mean however that they are doing their job.

Everyone relax..UCLA has seen nothing like what's coming tomorrow..I think Cal can name the score..2 of their best players are Fr.If they can come into Rupp and win they're the best team in the country..I would watch the Hamilton kid off the bench too.

UCLA is very good and they may deserve the hype. But we're almost a double digit favorite, we're at home, and if you think Cal doesn't despise the way they put a beatdown on us last year I think you're wrong. Our football team had one of the biggest upsets of recent memory against our biggest rival ON THE ROAD so I'm well aware that we can lose but I sure do like our chances. Let the so called experts say what they may but I'm not buying it. We'll see soon enough.

Lonzo is by far the best of the three brothers and it's not close. That dude is a straight baller. Looking forward to him matching with fox tomorrow

Bruins getting hype on all of the sports pages in multiple angles. Good team? Sure are so far. Why all the hype? Cuz now they get to play the best of the best on their famed home court. #1 UK Cats!
