Good Win

First of all, Tulsa is a solid team. Not great but solid- probably an average SEC team. They were #24 coming in and had only lost two games before today- Oklahoma State on the road by 9 and NY6 bowl Cincinnati on the road by 3. They beat everyone else on their schedule and didn’t give up over 30 points in any game. Sure Tulsa was missing their best defensive player, but they’re still a good team. We have been missing a ton of guys too.

The offense still has a ways to go, but I expect us to take make a pretty good jump next season. It’s been good to see us run the ball efficiently these last two games. If our backs can get six YPC like that going forward, our offense will be tough to stop. Defensively we didn’t play well, but forced turnovers and made the stops we had to make. Need to get some more DBs, but that’s a discussion for another thread.

Also, for as ugly as this team looked in October and early November, we actually have some decent wins.

Win by 10 @ 5-5 LSU
Destroyed 5-5 Missouri at home
Neutral site win against 6-2 #24 Tulsa

It was a good team win. If you just look at stats you’d think we got destroyed.

They outgained us by 200 yards. We were 4-12 on 3rd down vs 10-18 for them. They had 10 more first downs. They had two WR over 100 yards, we had none over 50. We were penalized for 40 more yards.

Took big plays at the right time from all 3 groups today.
