I believe it was tight end Allen that said in an interview that during the bye week 1st team O vs 1st team D was a multi time a day thing...... No reporters inside, but who do we think was winning the majority of the plays? With the injuries on offense, hopefully the D was winning. But 'working on the running game' comments would leave one to believe it was the O that saw some wins.
Our team isn't a top 25 team this year, so does Good on Good tell the coaches a whole lot? I know it is all one side has to practice against as far as proving themselves, and the teammates that kinda know their plays, tendencies, and habits....... but its got to be better than going against the scout team doesn't it? If the black shirts play like black shirts then maybe we can say that that was the difference.... If the offense plays better than it has all season and it has found two or three packages and a dozen plays that move the ball down the field, maybe 1s v 1s was the difference.
What would the results have been last year at the beginning of the season, versus the end of the season as far as 1s vs 1s during a bye week (which we didn't have in either scenario).
I really hope we see an improved team on Saturday..... I want to SEE improvement, and not just drink koolaid and be disappointed once again. GBR!
