Thanks Cazvol! We'll do what we can to represent the SEC.I'll be rooting for you to knock off the Hoosiers and dork Crean.
I appreciate the post cazvol. Thanks for your support. I think we've got a pretty good chance to win the game. But Indiana will be tough.
I'm a UK graduate, so I root for KY when they're not playing Tennessee (don't tell any of my Tennessee friends this, however). I hope you guys win the whole thing.
I'm feeling cautiously optimistic. It should be one hell of a game, but I'm hoping that it is not (I hope we CRUSH those Hoosier bastards). Unfortunately, their tears won't be too tasty if we do win. Too much of an ammonia/rotten-egg hue due to all the meth most of those loosiers ingest. Will certainly revel in it regardless. Go UK!!!
I'm quite a bit younger than you (I was only 2 in 1978), but I have went back and watched many of those games (on OLD VHS tapes that members of the family taped and would dub for other family members until my parents were able to wrack up quite a collection). The "Goose" was AMAZING. That '78 team, they just had so much heart. That Championship game where we edged out a good damn Duke team? That UK team just seemed to have a certain way to "will" themselves to victories. It was just incredible to go back and few those old tapes back in the 90's and again just last year actually. I remember meeting Macy when I was just a wee little lad....he came to Somerset for a signing and I was all of 4 years old, but I CAN remember it. He was a very nice young man and I remember him holding me and my mother snapping a picture of that moment (I need to find that photo, I'm certain my parents still have it). He was the only one I met, but "Goose" will ALWAYS have a place in my heart just due to me going back and watching (most) of those games when I was 22 (this was when we were making our 1998 run during Tubby's 1st year and after we reached the Sweet 16, I would come home from work and me and my GF at that time would spend the nights watching those old VHS tapes).I think the Cats win, but Indiana is a good shooting team. I don't think they can guard KY's backcourt and KY is capable of shutting down their shooters. Kentucky's defense wins it.
FYI, I was in school at UK when Macy, Robey, Goose won it all in '78. That's when I became a KY basketball fan. My wife's family is from Lexington and I'm up there quite often. Love the town and hated to move away when I graduated.

It's funny that you mention going to UK then moving to TN...My sister/bro-in-law (both about 8 yrs. my senior) went to UK and later moved to TN (he is a Dr. and got a really amazing gig at UT Med Center. He actually used to - and might still be - Johnny Knoxville's mothers personal physician). Sister is a professional pianist and does some session studio work in Nashville from time to time when/as she finds the time between all of the things their 2 teenage daughters are involved with. I expect that when they both go off to college themselves, she will ramp that aspect of her life up a bit as I know she loves it, her time is just so sparing the last few years.
Anyways, I agree with your analysis of the game tomorrow but I am still keeping my optimism at a "cautious" level. I want to beat the Loosiers SO BAD I could ramble on for 10 paragraphs. Also, while I'm not yet quite looking ahead....if UK along w/a certain other team that should not even be eligible for the post-season both manage to advance? I didn't think that it could feel much more sweet than it did in 2011...but it WILL.
