Good grief at the posts about why we lost.

Want, coach, etc.

They played physical against Stewart and Molinar. Molinar didn't handle well in the second half and Stewart had a horrible night with their in your face play.

We just don't have someone else who can score double digits on the nights we don't get the dynamic duo making big points.

There were virtually no free throws in the game either.

Howland tried several lineups in the second half looking for someone to pick up the slack and no one could.

Simple, no shots falling, no free throws because no fouls were called either way against a much more physical team.

My biggest disappointment was giving up so many offense rebounds in the second half after owning the boards in the first half.

Waited too long each possession to get something going. Going under 10 seconds each time, usually resulting in a forced ugly shot. Plus, shortened the game, playing right into A&Ms hand.

No we had guys not moving on the offensive end and when they did move it wasn't very fast or with a purpose or plan. We constantly let them get reset on D while our guys held it at the top. Howland trying different lineups isn't the answer. Howland coming up with a plan BEFORE games start to attack certain defenses is the answer. But his only offense is the motion weave we occasionally run which really isn't an offensive system.

Yep our offensive sets are flat garbage and our guards are great ball handlers and passers and don’t see the floor particularly well.

None of our guards could be their defender 1:1 tonight and we didn’t attack the press with enough pace to get good shots out of it.

All I can picture are violins playing. It’s the same song and dance. You could look back over the past 6 years and find posts written verbatim to the ones you’re reading tonight. That should say something. They do just enough to pull you back in then the embarrassing loss is waiting just around the corner.

This is why I laugh at those who say we were going to make the tournament last year because we were playing well late in the year. We pulled this same routine throughout last year. The season just happened to end at a point when we rolled off a couple wins in a row.

Yep, COVID left it open-ended, but we have zero evidence of Howland being able to sustain momentum game to game through six years, so no idea why people think the end of last year was going to be any different.
