Good Good Ad?

[BelemNole]

Did I miss a thread about this, seems like perfect HORT topic.

PGA Tour CEO blasts ‘concerning’ Good Good Golf ad that depicted co-founder shoving female golfer onto the ground

Good Good Golf took down the ad, saying it “depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand.” PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp called the brand’s response “disappointing.”

I almost posted yesterday but got too lazy. Amazing they made that and thought it would serve them well. Their initial response trying to walk it back as not reflective of their values was pathetic too. They literally made the ad and had an exec star in it. You can’t then say it does not reflect their values.

Despite the actions in the ad, had he knocked over another guy, it still would have been a dumb ad.

Like their name…I am not doing the research but based on that guys looks, the name, the ad…guarantee there are some nepo bros involved.

It was really dumb all around - including Callaway.

Weird ad for sure. What was the point? Would have been just as pointless with a dude.

what did they think the joke was here?

something along the lines of "tastes so good, you'll smack your mama!"

^^^ The commercial showed golfer Alexis Miestowski trying to grab a driver out of a golf bag, only to be shoved to the ground by Good Good Golf co-founder Garrett Clark. After having pushed her, he stands over her and warns: “Do not touch my new driver.”

Good Good Golf said in a statement Saturday that the ad “ultimately depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand.”

“We have since taken that content down, and sincerely apologize,” it said.

There's an ad agency that needs to be outed and execs at GGG that need to pack up their offices. smh
