Arizona is coached by Sean Miller, so no, it's not a better win that @Texas Tech on a Saturday night in a completely jacked up environment. The Zags won at Arizona. That is a better road win than Kentucky has.
Arizona is garbage

Yeah, because you play the easiest schedule in the country and are rewarded with a 1 or a 2 seed. It's not all that hard to get to an E8 as a 1 or a 2 seed. Stop trying to put a dress on the turd.We have played to or exceeded our seed something like 17 of the last 20 years. You have no idea what you’re talking about.
Good, let them be favored. I’ll take our guards and Calipari over Mark Few in March every day of the week and twice on Sunday. At a neutral site, Gonzaga would be favored over UK.
I believe Kentucky is 4-1 in games as the underdog. Who cares who is favored.Gonzaga would be favored. That is facts.
You're right. Since 2015:Meh, the zagnutz will be skull effed again by the first real opponent they would have faced in four months...
rinse and repeat EVERY year... [laughing]

You're right. Since 2015:
2015 - beat Iowa and UCLA in the NCAA Tournament
2016 - beat #20 Seton Hall and #13 in NCAA Tournament
2017 - beat Northwestern, #13 WVU, Xavier and South Carolina in the NCAA Tournament
2018 - beat #17 Ohio State in the NCAA Tournament
2019 - beat Baylor and #10 FSU in the NCAA Tournament
Always losing to the first real opponent they face.
What would you constitute as a real opponent? I guess UK hasn't beaten a real opponent in the NCAA Tournament during the same time frame then. Those are real opponents in your mind? Not a one with a title in what 5 decades? [laughing]

Gonzaga has changed drastically in the last 5 years. What they did 15 years ago has zero to do with who they are now. I posted this earlier in the thread:One with actual accomplishments for starters, or are we no longer measuring our schlongs by the amount of Final Four trips & titles.
Bottomline, Few is now in his 21st season, half the time he's placed a team in the NCAA as a 1 thru 4 seed...he's been to 2 Elite Eights,
1 Final Four in his life has a goose egg in the title department. I fully expect the same this year.
If it's not choking or shitting the bed against superior opponents, what is it exactly? Over two decades is a pretty decent sample size.
that and the fact that 17/20 is blatantly false, he already knows that though as i have shown him and gone through the last 20 years and they are actually more likely to underperform than they are over perform in that time spanYeah, because you play the easiest schedule in the country and are rewarded with a 1 or a 2 seed. It's not all that hard to get to an E8 as a 1 or a 2 seed. Stop trying to put a dress on the turd.
Well St. Mary’s and BYU are pretty good teams. But your point is incorrect, it actually hasn’t hurt us at all. We have played to or exceeded our seed something like 18 out of 20 straight years.
do we really need to go through this again with Gonzaga performing to seed nonsense2002 6 seed Gonzaga lost to 11 seed Wyoming in the first round
2004 2 seed Gonzaga lost to 10 seed Nevada in the second round
2005 3 seed Gonzaga lost to 6 seed Texas tech in the second round
2008 7 seed Gonzaga lost to 10 seed Davidson in the first round
2013 1 seed Gonzaga lost to 9 seed Wichita state in the second round
2019 1 seed Gonzaga lost to 3 seed Texas tech in the elite 8
I count 6/20 years at least that you did not perform to seed
Add to that the year you lost in the first round which was "performing to seed" as a 10 seed.
Also you have performed better than your seed just 4/20 times, so it is more likely that you underachieve than overachieve based on that
Gonzaga has changed drastically in the last 5 years. What they did 15 years ago has zero to do with who they are now. I posted this earlier in the thread:
"2015 was the big shift for Gonzaga from a program that couldn’t compete with the big dogs to a program that has had a lot of success in the NCAA Tournament. That was the year Few realized he couldn’t just recruit high school kids and could capitalize off transfers and international players. Since that 2015-2016 season, they have had 9 guys from those rosters play in the NBA. 6 of those players were transfers or international players. 8 of their 13 players this year are transfers or international players."
I agree 100% that from 2000-2014, they were often way overrated, but not the case over the past 5 years. Few realized this and made drastic changes. It is a completely different program now. There schedule sucks, there is zero doubt about that, but it has not effected them in the NCAA Tournament. It just hasn't:
2015 - 2 seed - Elite Eight
2016 - 11 seed - Sweet Sixteen
2017 - 1 seed - Runner-up
2018 - 4 seed - Sweet Sixteen
2019 - 1 seed - Elite Eight
We will see what happens. I think they have as good as shot as anyone.Same result though, they've been rewarded mightily with seeding/bracket placement but still sport only WCC championship gear.
This year will be no different...Sweet Sixteen and done.
So on average they played to their seed .Gonzaga has changed drastically in the last 5 years. What they did 15 years ago has zero to do with who they are now. I posted this earlier in the thread:

They shoot 8 3’s a game, they don’t shoot a lot of 3’s that’s why they have such a good percentage.Uhhh, Gonzaga is one of the best outside shooting teams in the country. They may have been a little off in the first half last night, but they make a lot of threes per game.
If anyone watched our first half Tuesday night, they would come away thinking we were an NIT team.
I'm rooting for Mark Pope. I've been really impressed with his rise in the coaching ranks. BYU could definitely beat the Zags.I expect Gonzaga to lose at BYU tomorrow.
Would be a feather in his cap to knock off the conference king.I'm rooting for Mark Pope. I've been really impressed with his rise in the coaching ranks. BYU could definitely beat the Zags.
If it’s so easy why do so few teams do it?Yeah, because you play the easiest schedule in the country and are rewarded with a 1 or a 2 seed. It's not all that hard to get to an E8 as a 1 or a 2 seed. Stop trying to put a dress on the turd.
Absolutely they can, 20,000 screaming Mormons Saturday night and BYU is ranked. I’m not sure how they are ranked though because according to many posters here we play in a “garbage conference”.I'm rooting for Mark Pope. I've been really impressed with his rise in the coaching ranks. BYU could definitely beat the Zags.
You would have to ask another school. For reference as a 1 or 2 seed Kentucky has made at least the elite 8 the last 6 times. the Zags only the last 3 timesIf it’s so easy why do so few teams do it?
UK is definitely strong. I'd put their record up against anyone. I was curious, so I looked at the past 9 tournament. 38 of 80 1 and 2 seeds did not make it to the Elite Eight, so basically 50%.You would have to ask another school. For reference as a 1 or 2 seed Kentucky has made at least the elite 8 the last 6 times. the Zags only the last 3 times
Yes and Gonzaga for reference has been a top 2 seed 5 times and has made the Elite Eight just 3 of those timesUK is definitely strong. I'd put their record up against anyone. Just looked. Since the NCAA Tournament has been expanded to at least 64 teams, UK has been a 1 or 2 seed 16 times. We have made the Elite Eight 13 of those times. The Sweet 16 has always been our bread and butter, and that shows it.
Yep, so better than the NCAA Tournament average for 1 and 2 seeds, but not as good as UK.Yes and Gonzaga for reference has been a top 2 seed 5 times and has made the Elite Eight just 3 of those times
Most of these posters that are bitching about the WCC conference don't even know who plays in it.Absolutely they can, 20,000 screaming Mormons Saturday night and BYU is ranked. I’m not sure how they are ranked though because according to many posters here we play in a “garbage conference”.
cool how many times has it happened before then? 2 out of forever isn't greatYou guys do know that in the past four years, Gonzaga has gone as far as us twice, and farther than us twice, right?
What's their path look like compared to ours LOL? They are handed a 1 seed for beating up on a horrible conference. This year they don't have those Top 10 wins. Their best is Oregon. Yet they are going to be rewarded like every year because that's the norm. I would love to get into their region. You guys do know that in the past four years, Gonzaga has gone as far as us twice, and farther than us twice, right?

No they do not know this, or mabe they do that is why they are intimidated by Gonzaga. You guys do know that in the past four years, Gonzaga has gone as far as us twice, and farther than us twice, right?
wow....No they do not know this, or mabe they do that is why they are intimidated by Gonzaga.
How did Kentucky get into the conversation? No one was arguing Kentucky’s worthiness. You would have to ask another school. For reference as a 1 or 2 seed Kentucky has made at least the elite 8 the last 6 times. the Zags only the last 3 times
You pick that cherry boyfrienddo we really need to go through this again with Gonzaga performing to seed nonsense
I guarantee without looking you could not name more than four teams in our conference. Three teams are predicted to be in the tournament and two of them are currently ranked. You have absolutely no interest whatsoever in educating yourself about the conference. What's their path look like compared to ours LOL? They are handed a 1 seed for beating up on a horrible conference. This year they don't have those Top 10 wins. Their best is Oregon.
