Golf Issue, not about soccer...

The problem I have (as some pros, and maybe some here have pointed out), is that the big names are playing guys a different set of rules because all of there shots are broadcast where the rest of the field is not. What if only one team had the benefit of instant replay in a game? I am a huge golfer and I love the whole "protect the integrity of the game" concept, but since the rules or golf are rarely ever completely cut and dry I just don't think that works in 2026.

That was mentioned in the Golf Digest article I linked in another thread. While Bryson was tromping around in the high rough, there could have been 2 or 3 other guys on the course at the same time, doing the same thing. Bryson is justified in complaining about selective enforcement.

If the R&A was putting its foot down and committing to policing this type of action in the future, then its not so bad. But if this was a one off, then it kind of stinks. Its a correct ruling by the book, but maybe should be ignored if it was unintentional and no one noticed in real time.

He was a physics major, and acts about like you would expect from a physics major...except that he is exceptionally good at golf and has hit the weight room a lot.

He rubbed a lot of people the wrong way early by thinking he was the smartest man in the room. Well, he probably WAS the smartest man in the room, but he was too eager to prove it.

He has won a lot of fans over with his you tube videos, but maybe not so much with the other players

Also, Bryson was paid an absurd amount of money to go play LIV. The pga tour sucked Rory and Tiger off while handing them a bunch of money to not go to LIV and to grandstand about the specialness of non-LIV golf and the evils of the money worshipping bastards that went to LIV. Rory is just doing what he’s paid to do.

Rory is the way he is because his career window is closing, and he knows he let several majors slip away from him in the past 15 years. He is a helluva golfer/ball striker/what have you, just couldn't seal the deal many times.

The fans moving the boulder for Tiger still is a mystery to me
