Not sure why he didn’t get more opportunities this year. He’s the kind of physical corner Iowa is known for producing, and he was all around the ball in the Nebraska game. I would hope he’s in line to start next year.

Godfrey is a RS freshmen. His one hit on that tight end was crazy and I think he had something to do with the fumble in the end zone. I am thinking he turns into a pretty solid piece after today.
He played well. Pretty well actually.
I still think Kirk should have challenged that. If for nothing else, so we could see another 5-7 replays of that hit.

Honestly it was close enough watching the replay, that it gets upheld to whatever the call on the field was.

I firmly believe the 4th down ruling was a referee trying to get Nebraska by to avoid disaster. Iowa probably scores the next few plays to make it 47-16. The ref showed them mercy there as he knew the game was already in hand anyways.
