Looks like it made the turf bubble up. Wonder how bad that damages it?

My flagpole fell into my neighbor's driveway (sounds like a euphemism, I know). Seriously. Nobody injured. Car unscathed. (Phew.)

Four io_a players were on an escalator when it broke. They were rescued two hours later. . ;^)

Hope so. I saw the lighter colored dirt and wondered exactly where it washed out from. Hopefully not from under the new north endzone renovation.

It was 3 1/2 inches but it was within about 45 minutes. The field then drained in around 30 minutes. There was flash flooding in Iowa City and wind gusts of up to 82 mph by the stadium. Apparently the bubbling process is actually a way of reducing stress on the pumps by pushing excess air under the surface of the grid.

It’s just to bad that crap stadium didn’t get washed away. Done us all a favor.
