Yes...where are the rest?
To whom much is given, much will be required (Luke 12:48). If you have heard that line of wisdom, you know it means we are held responsible for what we have. If we have been blessed with talents, wealth, knowledge, time, and the like, it is expected that we benefit others.
I’ve been asking this question for a while pertaining to our BB program. Why don’t all of these first round millionaires give a little back to the program? You see it at other places, why not here?

It’s their money to do with as they see fit. If they donate a portion of it, and we all know about it, great! If they do it quietly and we don’t know, even better. If they choose not to give anything, whatever! Why should we care?

Many have their own favorite charities they give substantially to. In fact, if "Former Cal NBA Players" was a business, its philanthropic donations would be very impressive.

Its great when their money comes back to KY, but tons of NBA Cities and former Cat Hometowns have a lot to be thankful for already.

Some reporter should pull all that together ... helluva story.

Geez people...... anytime you guys want to compare your 1040 line for Charitable Donations with AD or any one else let me know. Percentage wise or dollar wise. Although we already know you lose big time on dollar amount.

They have done it quietly many times. It’s great to hear about it but sometimes they don’t want publicity which is good.

Love when people complain about others not giving enough. How much have you donated? My guess is none.

A lot of them donate privately. The more public it is the more hands reach out. A buddy of mine saw Shaq walking into a mall in orlando years ago and he went to say hello. As soon as Shaq saw him he said 'I have no money to give', lol, so I can imagine how often they are actually hit up for money.

How do you know they don't? Not everything is made public. In fact I'd guess most isn't.
I don’t know if they do or don’t. Just saying with the amount of millionaires this program has produced you wouldn’t think everything would be left up to Joe Craft. Wouldn’t hurt Cal to donate his salary for the last couple of years that he’s done nothing IMO.
Sorry I hurt a few of your tender feelings with my statement.
Nice gesture by AD.

My favorite is when said people gripe and want donataions be made public but then get all in a tizzy when tax records have to come out when one runs for office.

You didn’t hurt feelings. It was just a pointless beating of a dead horse. Like a kid saying β€œare we there yet?”

When/if I give anything I don't want anybody to know about it because I don't want credit for doing it. That would taint it for me. Maybe some of our guys are the same way. To each his own. No need to rag on anybody. Everybody hears the Lord's calling differently. The key is that you are listening because He will call.

Matt. 6:1-4

"But beware of doing your righteousness before men, to be viewed by them; if you do, you have no reward with your Father in heaven. 2 So when you give charity do not have a trumpet blown before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men; I tell you verily, they have got their reward. 3 But at your giving charity let your left hand not find out what your right is doing, 4 so that your charity may be under cover, and your Father who sees under cover will repay you."

Lots of people give behind the scenes. They don't want it public.

Also Cal had mentioned he was hesitant to reach out to players because they helped out recently with another disaster I believe. Which says others have most definitely gave back in the past.

Stop with stuff like this...these guys are residents of not just Kentucky. They give tons to the areas they group in and play NBA.

1. John Wall Family Foundation launches "202 Assist" rent assistance program to help Ward 8 residents impacted by pandemic

2. !00% of proceeds from the event went to local charities and nonprofit organizations in the Sacramento area. Hefty donation to Sacramento charities in 2013: How can you not like Demarcus Cousins? After receiving a four-year, $62 million extension with the Kings in 2013, Cousins donated $1 million to Sacramento families in

What about Towns and Booker $200 million contracts??? A measley $50,000 to eastern Kentucky would have helped...

Eastern KY is getting way more money than they will need to rebuild. It's not like it's expensive land. They're gonna get billions of dollars from the gov't. They'll be aight.

For how much tax the government collects across the nation nobody should even have to donate. Didn’t they just take like 55 percent of the 1.2 billion dollar mega mill jackpot alone.
well never mind we got to send 70 billion to ukraine

Again...if I looked long enough, I'd imagine we find somethign they give. But regardless.....why the sentiment that they are stingy and/or owe Eastern Ky anything? They are from New Jersey and Missouri respectively...so why not focus their resources on disasters that hit those communities?

This class warfare that players owe something is sort of selfish sounding.

My family is in Mayfield and this money isn’t coming like originally thought. Many people are worried a lot of things will never be rebuilt.
