They had their chances. But as usual, Iowa comes up short in any meaningful game that might make their program relevant.

Still crazy to think that Iowa got Maryland, Indiana and Penn State as crossovers, while we got Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State....

Oh well, Iowa gets both Michigan and Ohio State next year....have fun.

Maybe Georgia was overrated? Or are we not allowed to suggest that? They didn’t beat Jack squat this year. Played one team in the current top 10 and got blown out
Sure, you can suggest it. But I would bet that every team in the BIG not named Ohio State would lose a minimum of 3 games on any SEC schedule.

What's Iowa record with our schedule? 6-6?

You are probably right. But if you remove the assumption Georgia is a great team, everything else makes a lot more sense. Add in their very poor schedule, and it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

I take that back. Michigan might be undefeated with georgias schedule: USCe, vandy, Arkansas, Kentucky, mizzou, Florida, Tennessee, ga tech, auburn. Where’s the 3 losses for Michigan?

If there is any offense in college football with the firepower to come back in this game, it’s Iowa.

Ha.

Outside of vandy and SC, all games could/would be competitive, but I admittedly believe fully that the SEC is the best conference in football by a very large margin, year in and year out. The results and draft picks tend to back that notion over and over again. Maybe Michigan will prove me wrong in the playoff, but I would take Georgia by 10+ Without flinching. I’ll pull for the BIG in the playoff but expect a 41-10 game if they matchup with Bama or UGA.

Both of these teams squeaked by one of the worst teams in Nebraska history. The Big 10 is garbage and shouldn’t be in the playoffs, but watching Iowa lose sure is fun.
