They didn't show or say what they are gonna do on the inside. Pool, bowling alley, game room, lounge area, barbershop, Adidas displaying the football gear and jerseys, and etc. They should add something different that other colleges don't have.
I agree. The video I saw doesn’t show much. And it doesn’t look like something that will cause us to stand out from the crowd. They didn't show or say what they are gonna do on the inside. That seems to be the general consensus of many. The outside is pretty basic. Now granted, Im sure they didn't want it to stick out like a sore thumb compared to all the other buildings and stadium. To maybe seem like it has always been.I agree. The video I saw doesn’t show much. And it doesn’t look like something that will cause us to stand out from the crowd.
To me it looks boring. Count me among the disappointed. That seems to be the general consensus of many. The outside is pretty basic. Now granted, Im sure they didn't want it to stick out like a sore thumb compared to all the other buildings and stadium. To maybe seem like it has always been.

I gotcha. And I agree, this is all very preliminary. But I had experience at my former university where I was a faculty rep to the committee that oversaw construction of new facilities. And my experience is that projects get scaled down, not up, from the preliminary plans. Budget constraints and cost overruns always cause corners to be cut and “frills” to be eliminated. That is why I am disappointed with these initial sketches. They don’t represent the “thinking big and out of the box” approach you need at the start. You begin big and then scale back as needed. Not usually the other way around.Don’t be,these are just preliminary designs.. Like our football team we need to be patient with the final results..
I thought the $155 mil was everything included (football facilities, stadium upgrades and others). I highly doubt the inside is completely planned out and this is just the initial phase.
You're my boy, Blue. But I am old so there that.
Well......my experience in doing projects is the drawings that are made determine the costs and mean something. I have never seen a drawing presented to the public and something else done.
I get the feeling it first needs to fit with the rest of the campus and second, they are going for square footage. The outside may be blah but I really could care less, one it is up, you don't spend time looking at it. You spend time in th inside in locker rooms, athlete areas, trainging areas, weights, etc. Shoot, make it a metal building for all I care, a really nice one but HUGE and bells and bling galore on the inside.
I want the part the athletes get to use where the money is spent. That goes back to my philosophy for students as well. But I am old so there that.
