Have you played this course, Olympia Fields, where the BMW Championship is being played this week? I would love to play some of these courses, and get an even better appreciation of what these pros can do.

I read it as “Gilfer” for awhile and just thought he liked older women. A cocksman, if you will.

On a related note, I know several posters on this board in real life. Glfr, is it possible that I played a round of golf with you in 2010 at St Andrews?

One of our former interns thought that "GF" on a restaurant menu meant girlfriend, like this is an entree your girlfriend would like.

I have played both courses at Olympia, but at different times.
I played the north course during a tournament back in high school. We would have played some sort of middle tee.
I played the south course because some member of a course I was working at in college had a connection with an Olympia member. A handful of us played a couple months before the US Open in '03. It was chaotic due to areas closed, finishing touches being applied, and overall planning for the tournament.

I dont remember one course being nicer or better than the other. They were both impeccable and challenging.

The Chicagoland area has a handful of courses that are equally as nice or better(whether that means a nicer layout or more challenging).

I remember the clubhouse at Olympia being comically large.
...but this is all 20+/- years ago though so that course may have been redone in the meantime.

Just at St. Andrews. It’s amazing and you really have to go. I didn’t realize it was a public course. I was there with my brother, who basically surprised me and asked “Wanna go play a round at the birthplace of golf?” I thought he was joking. There was a guy in our group who was a golf pro that graduated from State. Incredible experience. Not so incredible scorecard for me.
