When Rich Rodriguez came to WVU in 2001, he changed our Offense from a traditional Pro Style to a Spread offense. He did away with the average weight of 320 pound OL to 270-280 pound OL. By the following season he replaced Phil Elmassium and his 4-3 Defense to a 3-3-5 defense. We had growing pains. There were the same countless fans calling for him and his staffs head. Several screamed “This isn’t the WVIAC conference”, “Go back to Glenville State”, etc. The point is, when you drastically change your schemes, your gonna struggle. We’re 2 games into the season, and some are calling for Browns head. That’s just ridiculous.

I agree with that premise but the problem is Rich Rodriguez had the benefit of playing in the Big East and he had the benefit of playing a 2003 offense against a 1993 defense in the Big East. Rich Rod forced the Big East to get more athletic.

Nothing Neal Brown is doing will force anyone in the Big 12 to change anything.
Plus Neal Brown will be playing in the Big 12. That run that Rich Rodriguez went on may never happen again even if WVU has better teams.

Wvu will be in much better shape once Brown has time to bring in his own personal. He will build it up the right way. There are only 3 people in Morgantown who will suffer from the loss of Dana long term. The 1st is the local sales rep for RedBull. The second is the owner of the Liquor store closest to Dana's house. The third is Dana's coke dealer.

This coach should face the same exact scrutiny as the previous coach, especially since the previous coach started with 10 wins, a BCS historic bowl win--and the present coach eked out a win over an FCS team and got blown out by a middling SEC team--and looks in line to bring home the worst season ever in WVU history.

You take the top returning RB corps in the BIG 12 and generate 64 yards and are in last place in major college football?---you deserve all the scrutiny that comes your way.

You take a top ten offense and turn it into #123 out of 130 teams? You deserve scrutiny.

Heaven knows the previous coach was scrutinized right out of the gate anytime a player left---this new coach chased off numerous starters and contributors from last years team which contended for a BIG 12 championship right up until the last game.

After 8 years of relentless lies and attacks on the previous coach (the second winningest in WVU history no less) to now cry and whine the new coach should be free and clear of critiscism while he drops WVU into the dregs of football isn't fair or realistic. Its crazy.

Lol We’re 2 games into Browns first year. Do you even realize how stupid you’re acting? I hope you aren’t in management. You’d probably fire people in their new hire orientation

There are only 12 games in a season last time I checked. Nearly 17% of the season is gone already.

Besides, people were on Holgorsen before day 1--before he coached 1 game in one of the most successful seasons ever for the Mountaineers.

Why should the new coach get a pass for p!ss poor results? There are only 10 games left in this season -and let's be honest it isn't looking good for improvement.

Brown is going to get credit if he performs a miracle and turns around the debacle he is producing so far right?

Well if he is going to get credit for successes, then he can be scrutinized like everyone else for the failures too.

Seriously dude, chill out. You’re really taking this too seriously. WVU will be fine. Give it time and try to enjoy the game. Otherwise, try finding other outlets for your entertainment

Seriously dude, stop trying to protect Brown. I'm sure he can stand on his own two feet. Nothing indicates things will be fine, its a disaster at this point.

Instead of worrying about justified critiscism of a coach producing terrible results so far, try finding other outlets for you interests and stop trying to censor other peoples legitimate critiscisms. Guessing you didn't make a peep about all the undeserved attacks launched at the previous coach---why start caring all of a sudden now? Seriously its only been two games of deserved critique--where were you the last 8 years?

Aahh. Typical troll attack when you have no answer for reality--resort to childish sexist idiocy. Guess we can't ever expect you to grow up or become civilized though.

You're right. That was childish of me. I wanted to get down to your level of understanding.

Please forgive me. I'll raise my game from here on out.
