Gio should have started the season

I heard some interesting things from players parents regarding a certain pre-season heated debate between Ash and McNulty on who the starting QB should be.
Dont matter now when the season is over. But it should let you know who didnt want Gio to start for whatever reasons even though there were three different OCs.

Agree 100%. His mobility gives us another dimension.
I think Gio is able to hit more passes as LBs would have had to respect his running ability and not drop so deep leaving some space open in flats for receivers. Plus imagine maybe 1/2 or less the INTS. We would be in a lot more games in the 4th at a minimum imo.
Without a doubt.
1. Being able to step up out of the pocket and take off for chunks of yardage adds a whole other dimension to the offense which makes everyone around the QB better. The benefit that Art was supposed to provide was to stretch the defense. This didn’t happen because we completed few, if any, passes down the field.
2. Gio would have completed more passes and would have thrown less interceptions because of his experience. This would have translated to less three and outs and more scoring. And equally important, it would have kept the defense off the field for longer stretches. There is no doubt in my mind that the defense was often fatigued, especially in the second halves of games. I will not criticize the D this year. I think they were respectable when you factor in the above.

I blame this historically bad season on the coach(es) who decided to play a QB who was no where near ready, and as a result had one of the worst seasonal performances ever in college football. It’s that simple.

Would not have been a good look sitting in the family section...just saying lol

Again, this is why many fans on here get pissed off at you. Dude, no one is happy with Art's play but regardless of Ash's decision, he is still a kid and he is one of ours. Many other people have spoke of Art's play this year in this thread but no one else just attacks the kid like this all the time. It is fine to point out that he has not played well, maybe that he should not have played at all and to point out what he has done wrong, but statements like "Art Sucks" is ********.
Let’s refer back to the ‘shitkowski’ posts we saw earlier this season.. I’m talking about the ones I didn’t post. Sorry bro, I call it like I see it. I’m sure he’s a GREAT PERSON, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t, in fact, suck as a QB. He’s number 131. The WORST QB in college football.. so maybe point your aggressions toward ESPN for not cutting him some slack. I mean, how dare they factually rank him.

“I call it as I see it” is low bar when you call it behind a keyboard. Bro

As opposed to your keyboard commando comments? It’s a message board, so how else would you like for me to express myself?
I don’t hide behind my keyboard. Everyone pretty much knows who I am. And I have been very civil to you until the throw out the “bro”
I have always said that if you wouldn’t say something to someone sitting at a table with you, don’t type it hiding behind a keyboard or in a crowd of thousands.
There are ways to criticize that don’t have to be that a kid sucks. Have a little class. And certainly don’t be throwing “bro” around while sitting behind your keyboard either.

Sorry about the ‘bro’ comment. I actually hate that **** as well. I’m so used to having to defend myself on this board when I see others making far worse comments and get a pass. I apologize, no more ‘bro’ing’ (at least not to you.)
