So what’s the likelihood of both these guys being on campus in the fall? I know Ginn’s slot value is less than when he was drafted the first time but does the injury issue push him to take the money now? What’s the situation with Jordan: is his slot value enough or does he think he could make more by coming to State for a few years?

They gone. With Jt history of injuries, he will take the money this time. Westy is a a very good player, but needs some development in some areas. He will take the big pay day & get to work. No reason to chance a slump & losing that’s kind of money.

Your right...he will take the money also. Been his dream to play MLB. I believe he was gone no matter where he got drafted. The Sox took a little bit of chance on him in a draft that was limited & heavy with college players.

Red Sox seemingly drafted a guy in 1st round that was an overdraft. Meaning he’s likely going to sign under slot value. Meaning they can likely pay over slot for Blaze Jordan. I think once he fell to 3rd it was always going to be about which team drafted him, and I think unfortunately for you guys (and fortunately for opposing teams baseballs the next 3 years) the Red Sox were one of the last teams you’d have wanted to draft him.

Yeah, obviously losing either of those guys hurts, but Jordan was honestly the one I was mostly hoping to make it to campus next year. For one, pitching is expected to be a strength and deep next year, so losing an arm isn’t quite as costly as losing a talented bat. Plus, Ginn was already going to be under strict pitch count restrictions even without surgery, and now that he’s had his elbow repaired, I just don’t know what we’d even get out of him next year. My guess would’ve been a closer role

With Blaze, I’m afraid that we’re gonna find out how badly we needed his bat. Guess we’ll see

Blaze is probably gone but the Red Sox have the smallest amount of pool money. They don't have much to pay over slot.
