When is this board going to learn? Still batting 1.000 and dropped enough nuggets for you guys to catch on heading into this week. Surprised the cat is out like this as the news release to the various sources was set for tomorrow's run.

that said, this IS NOT ON RU OR HOBBS, this is on GS and GS alone.

RU will be fine, sit tight as we'll have a name coach and there is more interest in RU than many of the Greg cultists would like to believe

just relax people

Rutgers officials interviewed Schiano on Nov. 5 near Columbus, Ohio, and he’s been the prohibitive favorite to return to the school where he coached from 2001 to 2011. During that meeting, Schiano detailed a list of potential expenditures that he felt would be the minimum for the school to become competitive in the Big Ten East. This included staff salaries, support staff salaries and facilities upgrades — areas where Rutgers is lagging far behind its Big Ten peers.

Although they went deep into discussions this week, Schiano wasn’t going to accept job parameters that he felt wouldn’t give him a realistic chance to win in the conference. The sides couldn’t come to an agreement over multiple facets of the negotiation. While Rutgers was willing to increase support significantly from its current levels, it wasn’t to the threshold that Schiano saw as necessary.

A source with direct knowledge of the negotiations said that Schiano’s salary was not one of the hold-ups. He was slated to be paid among the bottom three head coaches in the Big Ten. The source added that Schiano made concessions from many of his initial asks.

The sides have been in frequent touch since the Nov. 5 meeting when Schiano laid out a granular plan that detailed what he felt it would take to revive the school’s lagging football program.

Yes, the other side is RU's admin desperately trying to lie and hide the truth. Too cheap for a legit program.
You are naive if you assume your source is unbiased.

Everyone involved in this business has favorite media sources they go to to get their story out, including Schiano and his agent.

The odds are that the truth lies somewhere between these two stories.

Reports coming out that Hobbs has been working to sabotage the talks for the past few weeks. Politi article coming soon.

How? The BOG wouldn't put facility upgrades in writing. The BOG has gone back on it's word before. They then wouldn't further increase the salary pool for assistant's after balking on facility upgrades. Giving Greg $4mil. a year gets you into 11th place in the B1G which was mostly donor funded(don't expect that again). Exactly how did the BOG bend over backwards. It's been reported Hobbs wasn't exactly pushing for this hire either.

Name coach? Where's the money coming from this time. Do you really think you're going to get all the big donors lined up this go around as well? Here's a hint that you seem to like to drop, you're not.

I guess some posters have very low exceptions for our commitment to the program.

lol..when I'm proven wrong the first time here then let me know. From the first round of expanision, to md, to the second round, to refuting the entire board and staff writers on ACC, this this. My **** is gold.

I'll let you all flounder around as I'm ready for our new targets and to be clear, RU is already in discussions/fielding calls.

GO RU

lol the SAME people have been repeating this mantra for weeks...some are the sane people who refused to believe me when I was 150% SPOT-ON about **** Flood was doing (off field) and who forced John to ban me...BEFORE they ditched John to go start the 247 site and proceed to lie to the world about Flood and his recruiting in an effort to drag posters from here to their site...so beware of “wolves in sheep’s clothing” my friend.

Just because Politi writes about it firsthand mage it real.

Use your crystal ball to give the board a clue to who will be the next HC at Rutgers. I'm willing to bet it's a no-name guy. Only Rutgers can f*ck up 1st and goal by turning the ball over that ends up being a TD for the opposing team. :chairshot:

Yup. Hobbs goal was to personally piss off the entire fanbase.

Can’t people stop pretending to be stupid and start thinking.

The dude flaked out on Michigan, walked out on Rutgers, bombed out in Tampa, and was run out of Knoxville and quit on New England after a month because of “faith and family”

But Hobbs is the one here who is sabotaging everything.

None of the people mentioned anywhere would qualify as a name coach. Would be more good money after bad.

Hobbs worked day and night to kill this deal. He doesn't like GS. He wants another no-name coach that interviews very well:

If true, all our anger needs to be directed at Hobbs. It he was actively sabitoging it, he has to go. Greg had some level of interest in coming back. It's Pat's job to close the deal. School continues to be a joke.

nobody cares. And anyone that didn’t know we were going to Big over ACC is an idiot. It was 100% obvious we were going to BIG
