Getting real in my house.

Wife is a nurse in a retirement home that stopped allowing visitors two weeks ago. They had a coronavirus (not COVID-19) patient admitted yesterday.

Today they have found out that one of her co-workers has COVID-19.

The world is getting smaller here everyday.

Bless her. My SIL is RN head of nursing in a nursing home. Tested in Alabama on Thursday week. Still haven't got the damn test back.

Real indeed. Best of luck to her. My niece is a traveling nurse working in Boston. Not thrilled with that assignment.

Feel for ya brother. I got a wife on the front lines that has been swabbing noses for this crap from the beginning. I'm just waiting on old uncle Coronus to visit our household. He hasn't decided on a visit so far. (fingers crossed)

I hope she's OK. Presumably they wear protective gear, but the virus can sneak in the smallest opening.

Her job is hard enough in normal times; it's got to be virtually impossible now. I know I couldln't do it.

Are you guys in one of the "safer" age groups?

Not really sure what the groups are but we are in our late 50’s.

Her job has been tough for her patients. They are in a care home and they have been unable to have visitors because of this which doesn’t help their spirits. The hall that the positive worker was working on can now only have one nurse and one CNA per shift that go in and out of a separate door. They all have to wear masks.

My sons were sent home for two weeks PTO for now and they may go ahead and close all of the Good Will stores they work at.

We’re really pissed that we can’t see the grandchildren for at least two weeks.

My heart goes out to those who have to work with this going on. I know that we are not the only folks who are going through even tougher situations.
