I’m seeing a trend on mooreheads coaching side of the ball.
It’s really the indicication of not being able sustain consistency, develop, and build. We are supposed to get better by building on his system. Going to be hard to install if the coaches are having to learn it again too. Three new coaches at least on offense. Granted they were not that great on offense this year, but everyone keeps saying Moorhead needs time to build it and they should be better next year from having twos years of the offense. Just doesn’t look promising. I’m he makes great hires and the offense comes a live next year then that helps things and gets it on the right track. Just doesn’t look good so far.
Seen it coming. Moorhead only has Breiner left of the coaches he had a history with on offense. Johnson and Breiner the only ones left. Johnson going anywhere? I’m not complaining because the offense was God awful this year, but going in the wrong direction if Moorhead is trying to build a system as some would argue he is trying to do. Kind of hard to do that if his system guys are abandoning ship.
well you know that's like your opinion man. you can call it an idiotic take all you want. of course most people don't leave jobs for lesser ones unless they get fired or asked to resign. it seems more to me rather than stick around and be apart of an offense that was obviously going nowhere, they decided to go to something different before those jobs were gone. They got those jobs based on reputations they got before they were at MSU. Huff got offered a job at Bama because of his recruiting and job he did with Barkley. He wasn't an MSU log enough to prove anything. Getsy. He worked with the Packers before. he fit more with what they wanted to go back to doing. You could tell in his press conference this year he was annoyed at the offense and people questioning how bad it was. Go back to NFL, he doesn't have to worry about recruiting or developing receivers. Hud was a head coach before he came back. I'm sure Hud came back because he needed a stop gap after being fired from ULL. Moorhead was probably told to hire him from someone inside the department. It was a disservice that Hud wasn't even given the opportunity to be OC. Breiner hasn't left because where is he going to go? back to FCS? The point i'm making is that when people are claiming it's going to take time to install the offense, it's going to be really hard to do that if the offensive coaching staff is revolving door. Tells me they don't think MSU and the Moorhead offense can get them to where they want in their career. And all this Bama doesn't examples don't work for MSU who doesn't recruit as high as Bama nor have the purse strings. all that while trying to install a new system with a rookie going into sophomore year p5 head coach. This whole dang thing is an experiment. Hell, we are very fortunate to hang on to the defensive staff. At least that's a welcomed change that defensive staff wants to stick around. Maybe the defense will put up more points this year and help the offense out.Abandoning ship my ***! Every one of the coaches that have left, left for better jobs than they had at MSU. 3 have gone to the damn NFL, Getsy because FREAKING AARON RODGERS WANTED HIM!, one to be a head coach, and one to coach under Saban. Get off the abandoning ship ********. That’s a total idiotic take.
Yea that article is basically BS. He didn’t take a lesser position with the Packers to come back. Going from WR coach to QB(Rodgers) coach is a step up. And he is back bc Rodgers told the new coach to reach out to Getsy. Getsy left to better his career like any mofo on this message board would have.
I didn't say any of that. You said the article was BS bc getsy didn't go to a lesser position. Well he did... Wr coach/OC is a higher position than QB coach. Is it more prestigious? Pay more? I have no idea...And you think he’s making less at Green Bay to go coach a hall of famer. Ok. Mississippi State’s running backs coach and offensive coordinator in name only is a better job than coaching quarterbacks at the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers. Read that and tell me how absurd that actually sounds.
