  • 22-12 (4-8 ACC): RPI 44. SOS 51. 2-4 in Q1 and 1-6 in Q2 games.
  • 1 meeting with UNC last year, a 14-4 UNC win in the 2025 ACC Tournament title game.
  • In league play, Clemson has gone W-L-W at Stanford, L-W-L vs. Miami, got swept at Notre Dame, and went L-L-W vs. Georgia Tech.
  • At the plate, Jarrell (12 HR) and Savoie (10 HR) provide most of the pop. Clemson has also been patient in ACC play, ranking 3rd in walks drawn, which is worth watching after UNC handed out too many free bases last weekend. They are not a huge running team overall, though they do have two players with 10+ steals. They also strike out a fair amount, sitting 3rd in ACC play at just under 10 Ks per game. One other thing: Erik Bakich will bunt and force action.
  • Defensively, Clemson has been pretty middle-of-the-pack. Four different players have at least five errors, but they have done a solid job controlling the run game, with ACC opponents going just 25-for-35 on stolen-base attempts.
  • The weekend rotation lines up with:
    • Friday – Knaak (RHP): Clemson’s ace is settling in, with just 6 earned runs combined over his last 3 starts, though he still has not recorded an out after the 5th inning this season.
    • Saturday – Sharman (LHP): 6th year Tennessee transfer coming off his best outing of the year at Stanford: 7 IP, 1 ER. He owns a 42/8 K/BB and leads Clemson by 12 innings in workload.
    • Sunday – Titsworth (RHP): Has struggled lately, allowing 16 hits and 11 runs over his last 13 innings.
    • Out of the bullpen, Clemson has used 7 pitchers with 9+ appearances, including 3 lefties, so UNC could see a lot of different looks over the weekend.
