Hafley is fine for me but further down and his personality always get great reviews....but for you guys that like Hafley why not Elko? He's a more experienced DC who has done well in multiple locations, demonstrated doing more with less in a couple of them BG/WF and still has the NJ ties.

I think Elko is very comfortable where he is. He’s making top money in a state with no income tax and probably lands a SEC HC job down the road.

Another career assistant that never coached D1 , let alone Jr HS, HS, Juco, D3. D2, or even Pee wee

Let him learn how to become a Head Coach , and revive a bad situation at a D4 school, like Ash should have.

I'd love him as our DC and recruiting coordinator. No HC experience is a big issue.

His name came up for the Temple job last year.....if Temple why not his home state RU
There’s a few reason I know of why he wouldn’t want to come back to NJ. Known him since we were about 8 years old. He’s very happy in Texas. Great guy with a great family.

I think he goes back to the NFL. As an OSU fan I will be sad to see him go. DB recruits love the guy. Good with the press too.

We could get him for $3 million per year with 5 year contract and no guaranty to build a new indoor practice facility. It would be kismet if we did get him since Ryan Day hired him after firing Schiano. He makes $950,000 per year now. He’s from NJ, coached at RU, and was named the nation’s number 3 rated recruiter.

And he’s killing it at OSU right now. For around $5K less than Schiano was making.

Why would we want to hire a guy who is a young career assistant who has less than 1 year as a coordinator and no experience as a HC?

Is Hafley the new flavor of the week that everyone will now demand? I do not want another DC with no HC experience. Need a guy with offensive roots.

Anyone with any options at all is going to stay far away from this inept administration.
