Schiano never won anything and was always out coached during games because he failed to make mid game adjustments. Am I the only one on this board that actually remembers the Schiano years? His teams won because they had talent and not because he was a great game day coach.
Agree for the most part. He’s not the best game day coach but he’ll recruit and get some talent here again. We’re basically at rock bottom.. need to get back to mediocre and then try and move up from there.
He also never had this assistant budget...could make a world of difference with a top notch OC and DC coming with him...

Yeah because 10 years to reflect plus years in the NFL and a couple years picking Urban Meyers brain couldnt have helped him at all. He's defenitley going to be the same coach he was... yeah man you're right.

The premise behind your posit is that people’s talents are static and what was true then must be true now...I would question that line of thinking.
maybe you don’t like him...and that’s fine, but assuming he can’t be a good and successful coach is as invalid as thinking a quality DC or OC can’t be a great coach; case in point Dabo Sweeney
