Germany - Kentucky ( United States) Thread

[richbrookstomato]

Reed is giving so much on defense that it's hurt his 3 pt shot. But I don't worry about his shooting.

[Lempface]

Put Edwards back in pls

I was hoping to see more from him, I agree give him some run. DJ definitely looks the part, but Edwards, aside from that one slick drive, has been mostly MIA.

[kywildcat1021979]

This definitely isn’t the Bahamas I’m more impressed with these wins. U-S-A

[Riddickulis]

Team is playing very well and the scary thing is we are missing some guys to injury. A full healthy team could be deadly……

Potential #1 pick on the bench... ya thell be better

Same, his shot will come around.

[Ndub21ku_rivals]

They'd beat us playing HORSE for sure. Other than that who is paying these guys lol.

Right lol. They can’t move at all.

[thedahc]

This has been a game of runs. There’s been like 5-6 runs of 9-0.

- Thiero has guard skill but plays much bigger than 6’7. He’s played through contact, out jumped/rebound against the bigger Germany center and had a nasty block.

- Shep might not have the quickness to be a great on ball defender but his IQ makes up for that and he can see a play ahead which allows him to get steals.

- When Germany complains to refs, do the refs know what they’re saying or do they just look at the player and nod in agreement?

I'm gonna disagree on the Shepard quickness take. His quickness and athleticism is not lacking nor is it "sneaky"

[UKrazycat2_rivals]

Thiero is the real deal.

A tank going against volks wagons.

[kyjeff1]

Too much me-ball right now

[bbnkat02]

Ummm. I think we are going to be good ....

I'm intrigued. But I also remember how we looked in the Bahamas.

Let's get into conference play and see where we are at. But I'm hopeful.

We've taken a huge step up in guard play.

[Son_Of_Saul]

Sheppard and Thiero today against the Germans:

For someone who's smarter than me: compare this Germany team to a college basketball program. Are they closer to a Grand Canyon U level or Duke level or what?

[Ndub21ku_rivals]

Germany have the worst center in Europe? My god.

[pauled#1]

I think Burks will help this season!

[ukfan041]

DJ looks great and Reed is gonna get a lot of run. Reeves and Mitchell saved the season tho.

[Bluefaithful]

We got a ballclub

[StubbornPenny]

DJ hits another body hitch three!

[Son_Of_Saul]

If Wagner makes threes like that, he's going top 10 in the draft.

Maybe Top 100 D1 team

[bbnkat02]

Wagner beating up on Germany.....Ironic.

[StubbornPenny]

Reed with the classic "throw it off another guy" playground move. Heady player!

[ck-2]

Hope the staff works on these out of bounds plays but I’m not holding my breath.

[kydmb99_rivals103809]

Mitchell has a beautiful three point shot

[richbrookstomato]

DJ feeling it!!!!

They would be a tournament team IMO.

[ScottGreene22]

Edwards good move and score

[AGEE11]

Good drive by Edwards. This ones pretty much over, let's focus on getting him going

[kywildcat1021979]

Nice shot Edwards glad he’s starting to get involved.

[Riddickulis]

People keep talking about his height but he has a ton of weight on him too

He should try to model his game off Draymond Green

[bbnkat02]

They would be a tournament team IMO.

Yeah, they've got a couple of D1 players playing for them I believe. This is good competition for July.

[Tampa_cat54_rivals112262]

Guys this team is so well-rounded, I am trying my best to not overreact but man this team is so good.

All this without Ugo and Bradshaw, and Edwards/Dillingham still finding their rhythm.

This is a contender.

[thedahc]

Y'all....I'm getting a bit excited. Please keep me from getting my heart stomped on again.

get excited, have fun, enjoy the ride.

In between they would be a 7th seed in the SEC tournament . So like UF last year . Not a tourney team but could beat anyone and talented.

[MbergCat]

Is Joey Hart the only one who didn't play? I was honestly hoping to see him.

[Tampa_cat54_rivals112262]

10 pro players in one of the top leagues in Europe and 2 division 1 guys (one from Butler).

Yup, hard not to get overexcited

We will struggle with size. That's my only worry.

Conference play is always rough for us and the SEC is stacked atm.

We will see what we are made of in about 7 months.

[richbrookstomato]

Edwards needs to finish strong here.

[kyjeff1]

Edwards is forcing it.

[KentuckyDad_rivals217703]

Most of their offense is just shooting 3s but our guys just refuse to stick to their shooters lol. Make them prove they can put the ball on the floor.
