Wilt Dominated pros under an alias of George Marcus. HUGE Wilt fan and this is the first I'd heard of it. Add one to the list of amazing Wilt facts.

HOLY ****!

FYI I’ve seen reference in one of Wilt Chamberlain’s obituaries that when Wilt was still in high school at Overbrook that Adolph Rupp flew to Philadelphia to scout him.

I have never been able to corroborate that. If anyone has more information on this I’d appreciate if you let me know.

Wouldn't be surprising.

Understand that the talent pool in the 1950's was like a pond, compared to an ocean today. When Wilt entered the NBA, there were less than 10 guys total in the league listed as over 6'9".

And not only was he taller than everyone else, he was almost certainly among the top 25% of the 1960 NBA (at any position) in terms of speed and jumping ability.

More like fifty to 60. Breaking gus Johnsons shoulder by blocking his shot was impressive.
