Interesting how the conversation turned to global warming. Two decades ago I had a conversation at work about global warming with a scientist that worked at a biotech company that develops synthetic dna. He was from Europe and had ties to technology and industry execs from across the globe. He laughed when the conversation came up and said the problem of hydrocarbons is vastly blown out of proportion to push both an 'clean air' industry and global socialism. He said a lot of money can be made if global treaties require investment in solar, etc, even if it's not yet a viable energy source. He said the other proponents are hoping to use the issue to pull money from wealthy to developing nations with no obligations on how that money is used. Fast forward to recent years and read the Paris Treaty. Everything he said is absolutely obvious in that treaty. Whether it's cap and trade or any other scheme, no real effort is made to do anything but move money around.
He didnt write the book though and was given over 400 million by his father using today's standards and still went bankrupt. Reagan was not a friend to minorities and after today's news the reaction to the AIDS epidemic is criminal.

If we didn't destroy the environment during the early 1900's with the industry revolution we sure aren't going to now. Actually what you need to be more concerned about is global cooling, crops don't grow very well in a cool climate.
None of that has any bearing whatsoever on his abilities. If you haven't read the book, I really recommend it. Trump is basically a workaholic. Yes, he learned how to work the media on his tv show, and that turns some people off.. however it was the decades he spent building buildings and dealing with the city politics of New York, that really prepared him for the job. I see you're from California, so I won't try to change your mind, but the guy is far from stupid. I do think he enjoys trolling so many liberals though. He will be re-elected.
